GRAND CANAL DUBLIN

Reminder & Update on Boat Passage

Arragements in / out of Dublin

Waterways Ireland wishes to remind vessel masters and owners of the arrangements for boat movements in / out of Dublin City, as set out in the earlier Marine Notice 07/2016, in particular the requirement to organise passage through the Eastern Regional Office a minimum of 2 days in advance of intended passage.

Due to periodic anti-social activity along some of canal route into Dublin, particularly in times of good weather and at weekends, additional restrictions may apply to boat passage over the summer period. This can be planned for at time of making contact, and suitable arrangements for passage made.

Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their ongoing co-operation in this matter.
