Shannon Erne Waterway
Official Opening of the Shannon Erne Blueway
On Sat 28th. May 2016
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the official opening of the Shannon Erne Blueway at Ballyconnell Marina, Co Cavan will take place on Saturday 28th May at 12.00 noon.
There will be much activity involving small craft with low freeboard, such as canoes and open boats on the day along this stretch of waterway, masters and owners of vessels operating in the area are therefore requested to heed advice from event marshals and organisers.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Waterways Ireland Docklands Summer Festival will take place in and around Grand Canal Dock on 21st. and 22nd. May 2016. There will be numerous water based events in Grand Canal Dock
Masters and owners of vessels operating in the area should heed advice from event marshals and organisers.

New Green Starboardhand Buoy
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that a new aid to navigation, a green floating buoy, has been placed North of Connoy’s Island ( West of Jolly Mariner Private Marina) on the river section between the white railway bridge and the motorway bridge.

Canal & Towpath Closure for Upgrade Works
Ref Marine Notice 143 of 2015. Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Royal Canal Level 8, near Ratoath Road, Dublin is now open to navigation, however, enhancement works continue on the adjacent towpath.
