Killaloe Canal

Closure from 16th October

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that the Killaloe Canal will be closed from October 16th in order to carry out works on the boardwalk. The works are expected to last approx. 3 months.
Vessels moored in the canal should vacate the area prior to 15th October. Vessels remaining after this date may be removed by Waterways Ireland.
Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Shannon Navigation, Killaloe-Kanal, Schließung ab 16. Oktober
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass der Killaloe-Kanal ab dem 16. Oktober wegen Arbeiten an der Uferpromenade geschlossen wird. Die Arbeiten werden voraussichtlich ca. 3 Monate dauern.
Im Kanal vertäute Schiffe sollten das Gebiet vor dem 15. Oktober verlassen. Nach diesem Datum verbleibende Schiffe können von Waterways Ireland entfernt werden.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für etwaige Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Athlone Lock, Closure from 16 to 18 Feb 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that Athlone Lock will be closed to boat traffic on 6th, 17th, 18th of Feb 2022. The closure is in order to facilitate the relocation the Hydraulic and Electrical services as part of the flood relief works.

Waterways Ireland thanks vessel owners for their co-operation.

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Wassernutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die Athlone Schleuse am 6., 17 und 18. Februar 2022 für den Schiffsverkehr geschlossen wird. Die Schließung dient der Verlegung der hydraulischen und elektrischen Systeme im Rahmen der Hochwasserschutz-arbeiten.
Waterways Ireland dankt den Schiffseignern für ihre Kooperation.

Closure on 19th and 20th Jan 2021

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of all craft that Portora Lock in Enniskillen will be closed to boat traffic on Tuesday 19th January and Wednesday 20th January 2021. This is to accommodate essential maintenance works to the Lock gates.
Please heed all instructions from safety personnel who will be in the area.
Waterways Ireland wishes to apologise for any inconvenience that this closure may cause our customers.

Portora Lock, Schließung am 19. und 20. Januar 2021
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne aller Boote darauf hinweisen, dass die Portora-Schleuse in Enniskillen am Dienstag, den 19. Januar und Mittwoch, den 20. Januar 2021 für den Bootsverkehr geschlossen wird. Grund dafür sind notwendige Wartungsarbeiten an den Schleusentoren.
Bitte befolgen Sie alle Anweisungen des Sicherheitspersonals, das sich in diesem Bereich aufhalten wird.
Waterways Ireland möchte sich für alle Unannehmlichkeiten entschuldigen, die unseren Kunden durch diese Schließung entstehen können.
