Power supply interruption to floating jetties

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and water users that there will be an interruption to the power supply to the floating jetties at Shannonbridge from Tuesday 26th to Thursday 28th April 2022. This is to facilitate essential repairs and maintenance works.

Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused and wishes to thank its customers for their cooperation.

Unterbrechung der Stromzufuhr zu den Floating Jetties

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Gewässernutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die Stromversorgung der Floating Jetties in Shannonbridge von Dienstag, den 26. bis Donnerstag, den 28. April 2022 unterbrochen wird. Die Unterbrechung dient dazu, wichtige Reparatur- und Wartungsarbeiten durchzuführen.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für die entstandenen Unannehmlich-keiten und bedankt sich bei seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation.

Access to floating jetty prohibited due to high water levels

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that the access to the floating jetty in Shannon bridge is prohibited due to high water levels. Lighting to the area has been turned off as the power supply distribution box is currently submerged.
Waterways Ireland thanks all vessel owners and operators for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Zugang zum Schwimmsteg aufgrund hoher Wasserstände verboten.
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Wassernutzer darauf hinweisen, dass der Zugang zur Floating Jetty an der Shannon-Brücke wegen des hohen Wasserstandes verboten ist. Die Beleuchtung des Gebietes wurde abgeschaltet, da der Stromversorgungskasten derzeit unter Wasser steht.
Waterways Ireland dankt allen Schiffseignern und -betreibern für ihre Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit

WATER FLOW MEASURING

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Water Flow Measurements will be taking place at both Athlone Town Bridge and Banagher Bridge from 10 December to 24 December inclusive by staff from OPW.
Navigation will be impeded for short periods only.
Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when approaching the bridge during these times and to note any directions from safety marshals on the bridge deck above and /or the river bank.

Die Wasserstände am Shannon-River sind immer noch steigend

Das berichtete RTE am Sonntag 13. Dezember 2015.
Die „National Emergency Coordination Group“ hat erläutert, das die Wasserstände auf dem Shannon-River immer noch steigen, aber bedeutend langsamer.
Es gibt noch einige Sorgen um weitere Überschwemmungen in Athlone und Limerick, wo der Corbally Bereich in der Stadt letzte Nacht schwer überschwemmt wurde.
Die ESB sagte, weil der Pegel des Shannon weiter steigt, wird erneut eine Erhöhung des Wasserdurchfluss durch Parteen Weir geschaffen.
Im Anhang sind einige Fotos von der Lage in Banagher die mir Barbara (Silverline) zukommen ließ. Brain J. Goggin stellte mir Fotos von Shannonbridge, Mountshannon und der Portumna-Brige zur Verfügung. Herzlichen Dank den Beiden für diese Information.

Wir wollen hoffen für unsere Freunde in Irland, das in den kommenden Tagen die anhaltenden Regenfälle aufhören und die Hochwasserlage sich entspannen wird.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the access ramp to the floating moorings at Shannonbridge has been repaired.

Floating Moorings Damaged Access Ramp

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the access ramp to the floating moorings at Shannonbridge has been damaged to an extent that it now presents a trip hazard. Users are advised to take due care when accessing the moorings via the ramp until repairs can be effected.
