Closure for maintenance until 5th April 2024
Waterways Ireland wishes to notify masters of vessels and users Tarmonbarry Bridge will remain closed until Friday 5th April 2024 to facilitate essential maintenance works. Diversion route is available via the Camlin River.

Planned Works on the Overhead Power Lines at Ardhowen, Tuesday 5th March 2024
Waterways Ireland wishes to inform masters of vessels and waterways users that a section of the Erne navigation channel will be closed between the Killyhevlin Hotel and the Ardhowen, on Tuesday 5th March from 1000 to 1600hrs. This is to facilitate NIE works on the overhead power lines at this location.
Masters of vessels are advised to adhere to all signage and direction of safety boats.

Erne System, Upper Lough Erne Geplante Arbeiten an den Oberleitungen in Ardhowen, Dienstag, 5. März 2024 Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und die Benutzer von Wasserstraßen darüber informieren, dass ein Abschnitt des Erne-Fahrwassers zwischen dem Killyhevlin Hotel und dem Ardhowen am Dienstag, den 5. März von 1000 bis 1600 Uhr gesperrt wird. Dies geschieht, um Arbeiten der NIE an den Freileitungen an dieser Stelle zu ermöglichen. Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, sich an die Beschilderung und die Anweisungen der Sicherheitsboote zu halten. Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise that the Erne Eights Head of the River Rowing Race will take place on Saturday 2nd March 2024.
The event will start upstream of the Killyhevlin hotel and will race through to Enniskillen Royal Boat Club.
Rowing boats and craft will be on the water from 0900 to 1700hrs. There will be approx. 80 rowing crews participating in the event. The downstream sections of the Round ‘O’ jetty will be closed for the event.
Masters of vessels should adhere to all instructions given by race marshals and safety boats on the day and keep the racecourse clear.
Masters of vessels should keep wash to a minimum when passing rowing crews and race marshals.

Erne System, Erne Head of the River Ruderregatta, Samstag, 2. März 2024 Waterways Ireland möchte darauf hinweisen, dass das Erne Eights Head of the River Rowing Race am Samstag, den 2. März 2024, stattfinden wird. Die Veranstaltung beginnt flussaufwärts vom Killyhevlin Hotel und führt bis zum Enniskillen Royal Boat Club. Ruderboote und Boote werden von 0900 bis 1700 Uhr auf dem Wasser sein. An der Veranstaltung werden ca. 80 Rudermannschaften teilnehmen. Die flussabwärts gelegenen Abschnitte des Round ‚O‘ Jetty werden für die Veranstaltung geschlossen. Die Bootsführer sollten sich an alle Anweisungen der Streckenposten und der Sicherheitsboote halten und die Regattastrecke freihalten. Die Kapitäne von Schiffen sollten das Waschen auf ein Minimum beschränken, wenn sie Rudermannschaften und Rennleiter passieren. Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Mitarbeit.
Disposal of vessels removed from Waterways Ireland navigations March 2024
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and interested parties of the intended disposal of several vessels, by public tender, which were removed from Waterways Ireland navigations.
Sixteen (16) vessels are presently stored by Waterways Ireland at Shannon Harbour, Co Offaly and at Munster Harbour near Portumna.
All vessels may be inspected (externally only) between 11:00 hrs and 15:00 hrs on Sat 02 March 2024.
