I want to say … Season’s Greetings
I want to say ——- Was ich sagen möchte,
many thanks to all the people and friends who support me directly and indirectly with my blog. I wish everyone a peaceful winter solstice, quite a merry Christmas and a happy new year with quite fantastic weather next year „2024″ for boating holiday in Ireland and all other waters.

Shannon – Erne Waterway
Notice of Locks & Facilities Closures
Locks:
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that all 16 locks on the Shannon-Erne Waterway will be out of service from Friday 22nd December 2023 to Monday 1st January 2024 inclusive. No lock passage by boat will be possible during this period. Normal service will resume at 0900 on Tuesday 2nd January 2024.
Service Blocks:
The Ballyconnell Service Block is currently closed due to the upgrading works at the facility. The Service Blocks at Aghalane and Haughton’s shore, Ballinamore, Keshcarrigan and Leitrim Village shall remain open.
Trails:
All associated land based and water based Blueway trails shall remain open.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Bekanntmachung über die Schließung von Locks und Serviceeinrichtungen
Locks:
Waterways Ireland weist Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hin, dass alle 16 Locks auf dem Shannon-Erne Waterway von Freitag, dem 22. Dezember 2023, bis einschließlich Montag, dem 1. Januar 2024, außer Betrieb sein werden. Während dieses Zeitraums ist keine Schleusenpassage mit dem Boot möglich. Der normale Betrieb wird am Dienstag, den 2. Januar 2024, um 0900 Uhr wieder aufgenommen.
Serviceblöcke:
Der Ballyconnell Service Block ist derzeit aufgrund von Modernisierungsarbeiten an der Anlage geschlossen. Die Service Blocks in Aghalane und Haughton’s Shore, Ballinamore, Keshcarrigan und Leitrim Village bleiben geöffnet.
Wanderwege:
Alle zugehörigen Land- und Wasserwege von Blueway bleiben geöffnet.
