Fireworks Display

Castle Island

Issued: 28 October 2026

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels and waterway users that a fireworks display will take place at Castle Island, Enniskillen, on Friday, 30 October 2026, weather permitting.
To facilitate the event and ensure public safety, the following restrictions will apply:

- - Navigation Restriction. Navigation and mooring in the vicinity of Castle Island will be prohibited from 17:00 hrs on Friday 30 October, until after the event.
  - Jetty Closures. Henry Street Jetties and Castle Museum Jetty will be closed from Thursday afternoon, 29 October, until 08:00hrs on Saturday 31 October.

Masters of vessels must remain clear of the designated fireworks fallout zone and comply with directions issued by Waterways Ireland Wardens, RNLI personnel and other authorised event safety vessels.
Waterways Ireland thanks all waterway users for their cooperation in facilitating this event safely.

Waterways Ireland weist Schiffskapitäne und Wasserstraßenbenutzer darauf hin, dass am Freitag, dem 30. Oktober 2026, bei günstigen Wetterbedingungen ein Feuerwerk auf Castle Island in Enniskillen stattfinden wird.
Um die Veranstaltung zu ermöglichen und die öffentliche Sicherheit zu gewährleisten, gelten folgende Einschränkungen:

- - Schifffahrtsbeschränkung. Die Schifffahrt und das Anlegen in der Nähe von Castle Island sind ab Freitag, dem 30. Oktober, 17:00 Uhr bis nach Ende der Veranstaltung untersagt.
  - Anlegestellen-Sperrungen. Die Anlegestellen an der Henry Street und am Castle Museum sind ab Donnerstagnachmittag, dem 29. Oktober, bis Samstag, dem 31. Oktober, um 08:00 Uhr geschlossen.

Die Schiffsführer müssen sich von der ausgewiesenen Fallzone des Feuerwerks fernhalten und den Anweisungen der Aufseher von Waterways Ireland, des RNLI-Personals und anderer autorisierter Sicherheitsschiffe der Veranstaltung Folge leisten.
Waterways Ireland dankt allen Wasserstraßennutzern für ihre Mitarbeit bei der sicheren Durchführung dieser Veranstaltung.

Castle Island – Water Activity Area

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and users of the Erne System that the channel east of Castle Island, Enniskillen is closed until 30th September 2024.
This is to create a water activity area. The designated area will be clearly marked by signal and floating buoys. See below layout.
Access to Castle Museum Jetty will be maintained when approaching from the north of Castle Island.
Mariners should use the navigation channel to the west of Castle Island and proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash adhering to any instructions or displayed signage. Mariners should be aware of small non-motorised craft also operating in the navigation.

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne und Benutzer des Erne-Systems darüber informieren, dass der Kanal östlich von Castle Island, Enniskillen, bis zum 30. September 2024 geschlossen ist.
Dies geschieht, um ein Wasseraktivitätsgebiet einzurichten. Das ausgewiesene Gebiet wird durch Signal- und Schwimmbojen deutlich gekennzeichnet sein. Siehe Grundriss unten.
Der Zugang zum Castle Museum Jetty wird aufrechterhalten, wenn man sich von Norden der Castle Island nähert.
Seeleute sollten die Fahrrinne westlich von Castle Island benutzen und sich mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und mit minimaler Wäsche fortbewegen, wobei sie sich an alle Anweisungen und angezeigten Schilder halten sollten. Die Schifffahrtsteilnehmer sollten sich der kleinen nicht motorisierten Fahrzeuge bewusst sein, die ebenfalls in der Fahrrinne verkehren.
Waterways Ireland bedankt sich bei seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.
