Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterways users on the Lower Bann Navigation that Coleraine Harbour Commissioners have issued the following Local Notice to Mariners:

HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEY
MARINERS ARE ADVISED THAT A HYDROGRAPHIC SURVEY WILL BE CARRIED OUT ON THE RIVER BETWEEN THE TOWN BRIDGE AND THE BARMOUTH ON THURSDAY 25TH AND FRIDAY 26TH APRIL 2024.
ALL VESSELS WISHING TO TRANSIT THE AREA DURING THIS TIME SHOULD NAVIGATE WITH CAUTION AND PROCEED AT A SLOW SPEED WITH A MINIMUM WASH.

Essential Maintenance

Waterways Ireland has been advised by Rivers Agency of its intention to carry out essential maintenance works to the sluice gates at Colerain and that there will be no pedestrian access through the Cutts site .

Access to boating traffic into the upper canal into Cutts Lock will be prohibited today, Tue 25th Oct .

Waterways Ireland Riverfest, Sat 9th and Sun 10th Aug 2014

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and users of the Lower Bann Navigation that the above event will take place along the stretch of navigation between Coleraine Town Bridge and Mountsandel bridge in the vicinity of Christie Park moorings from 11am until 6.30pm on both days.
Masters are requested to transit this area at slow speed and with minimum wash during the event and to heed the advice and instructions of those marshalling the activities.
Waterways Ireland takes this opportunity to thank its customers for their co-operation in this matter and regrets any inconvenience caused.

Head of River Rowing  Event

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and boat owners that the above event will take place on Sat 16 Nov 2013 from 0900hrs to 1500hrs between Seaton’s Marina and Bann Rowing Club Boathouse, Coleraine
Masters are requested to note any advice issued by race marshals when approaching the course and to travel at slow speed and with minimum wash as race craft are easily capsized by a vessel’s wash.
