Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the swim element of the above event will take place immediately downstream of the Lanesborough – Ballyleague bridge , on the eastern bank, on Sat 15 Jul between 1000 hrs and 1300 hrs.
Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when approaching this section of the navigation and heed any instructions issued by the event marshals.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and owners of vessels that intermittent diving operations will take place at Lanesboro Bridge on Mon 26 September.
Delays may be experienced. Masters are requested to give a wide berth and observe all directions issued from the safety boat in attendance.

on Wed 23 Jun between 19.30 hrs and 20.00hrs.
Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when approaching this section of the river and heed any instructions issued by the event marshals.

Further to Marine Notice No 34 of 2016 Waterways Ireland wishes to advise of the following control measures associated with these works commencing on Mon 25 April or shortly thereafter and continuing for approximately five weeks.
Access through the navigation arch will only be available between 1800hrs in the evening and 0600hrs the following morning, Monday through Friday.
Navigation will be open on Saturdays and Sundays as per normal.
The bridge will be closed to navigation by a string of orange / yellow buoys placed 50m north and south of the bridge.
Divers, workboats and associated equipment will be deployed in the immediate vicinity of the navigation arch and no through traffic for any craft will be permitted.
On completion of the daily work schedule equipment will be hauled off to one side of the bridge and the buoys removed to permit traffic between the hours stated above.
Masters of vessels approaching these works should note any directions given by the works safety boat and /or the lookouts placed north and south of the bridge during working hours who will be equipped with flags and klaxons.
International Code Flag „A“ (blue and white)indicating the presence fo divers in the water will be displayed north and south f the bridge when divers are working.
Berthage is available at the old stone harbour immediately north of the bridge and also in the new marina harbour south of the bridge, both on the western side of the navigation.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that geotechnical investigation works on the N63 Bridge at Lanesborough will take place from pontoons which will be adjacent to the main navigation channel. The works will be defined by yellow buoys in the channel North and South of the N63 Bridge and will commence on the 10 August 2015 and finish on 20th Aug. The navigation will remain open.
Masters of vessels are required to proceed with due caution when passing through the area and note any directions given by the safety boat in attendance.
