MARINE NOTICE, No 139 of 2014

Shannon-Erne Waterway

Lock 14 Drumduff

Intended Lock Closure for Works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Lock 14 Drumduff will be closed to boat traffic from Monday 24th November 2014. It is anticipated that the lock will remain closed until March 2015, weather permitting, for repairs to the lock gates, collars and associated infrastructure.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Tarmonbarry Area

New Aids to Navigation Established

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that two new Aids to Navigation have been established in the Tarmonbarry area as follows:

  • Red Porthand marker approximately 2.5km north of Tarmonbarry, opposite northern entrance to the Camlin River.
  • Green Starboardhand marker approximately 4km south of Tarmonbarry.

Further to  Marine Notice No 118 / 2014  Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that where faults occur on the supply of fresh water and /or electricity at our moorings and service blocks during this period repairs will be effected commensurate with general maintenance priorities and owners should take precautionary steps if either of these services are required on an on-going basis.

Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in this matter.
