Tarmonbarry to Ballyleague

Navigation Closure, The Great River Swim, Sat 20 May 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and users of the Shannon Navigation that The Great River Swim will take place between Tarmonbarry and Ballyleague on Saturday 20 May 2023. Approx 800 swimmers will participate in the swim event.
The Shannon Navigation between Tarmonbarry lock and Ballyleague bridge will be closed from 9am to 2pm on Saturday 20th May 2023. Tarmonbarry lock and Clondara canal lock will be closed from 9am to 2pm. Vessels will be prohibited from proceeding upstream from Ballyleague bridge between 9am and 2pm.
Further information will be posted by Marine Notice closer to the event date.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Nutzer der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass am Samstag, den 20. Mai 2023, zwischen Tarmonbarry und Ballyleague das Great River Swim stattfindet. Etwa 800 Schwimmer werden an der Veranstaltung teilnehmen.
Die Shannon Navigation zwischen der Tarmonbarry-Schleuse und der Ballyleague-Brücke wird am Samstag, den 20. Mai 2023, von 9 Uhr bis 14 Uhr gesperrt sein. Die Schleuse von Tarmonbarry und die Schleuse des Clondara-Kanals werden von 9.00 bis 14.00 Uhr geschlossen. Die stromaufwärts gerichtete Fahrt von der Ballyleague-Brücke ist zwischen 9 und 14 Uhr verboten.
Weitere Informationen werden kurz vor der Veranstaltung per Marine Notice bekannt gegeben.

St Patrick’s Day activities

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterways users that water based activities will take place at the Lakeland Forum area, Broadmeadow, Enniskillen on St Patrick’s Day. Boat trips, canoeing, water bikes and other activities will be taking place.
Masters of vessels should keep their wash to a minimum when passing the area of the activities.

Waterways Ireland möchte Schiffsführer und Benutzer der Waterways darauf hinweisen, dass am St. Patrick’s Day auf dem Gelände des Lakeland Forums in Broadmeadow, Enniskillen, Aktivitäten auf dem Wasser stattfinden werden. Es werden Bootsfahrten, Kanufahrten, Wasserfahrräder und andere Aktivitäten stattfinden.
Die Kapitäne der Schiffe sollten ihre Wüsche auf ein Minimum beschränken, wenn sie das Gebiet der Aktivitäten passieren.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Mitarbeit.

Lock C4 to Lock C5

Repairs to fixed jetties – Lowered water level,
from Mon 3rd April 2023 for 8 weeks

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and users of the Grand Canal in Dublin that jetty repair works between Lock C4 and Lock C5 will commence on Monday 3rd April 2023.
The water level on the Grand Canal between Lock C4 and Lock C5 will be lowered to accommodate the repair works. Masters of vessels should contact Waterways Ireland prior to undertaking passage on the Grand Canal between Locks C4 and C5 during the works.

Grand Canal, Dublin, Lock C4 bis Lock C5, Reparaturen an festen Anlegestellen  Abgesenkter Wasserstand, Ab Montag, 3. April 2023 für 8 Wochen
Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Benutzer des Grand Canal in Dublin darauf hinweisen, dass am Montag, den 3. April 2023, Reparaturarbeiten an den Stegen zwischen Schleuse C4 und Schleuse C5 beginnen werden.
Der Wasserstand des Grand Canal zwischen Schleuse C4 und Schleuse C5 wird für die Reparaturarbeiten abgesenkt. Kapitäne von Schiffen sollten Waterways Ireland kontaktieren, bevor sie den Grand Canal zwischen den Schleusen C4 und C5 während der Arbeiten befahren.
