Closure from Friday 5th May 2023 – Saturday 3rd June

Emergency repair works to lock gates
Waterways Ireland wishes to inform Masters of Vessels and waterway users that Lock 3, Grand Canal will be closed from Friday 5th May 2023 until Saturday 3rd June 2023 to facilitate emergency repair works to the lock gates.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Schließung von Freitag, 5. Mai 2023, bis Samstag, 3. Juni, Notreparaturarbeiten an den Schleusentoren
Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Nutzer der Wasserstraße darüber informieren, dass die Schleuse 3 des Grand Canal von Freitag, den 5. Mai 2023, bis Samstag, den 3. Juni 2023, geschlossen wird, um Notreparaturarbeiten an den Schleusentoren durchzuführen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert jegliche Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können und dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Castle Museum and Sligo Rd (Concrete) Jetties – Temporary Closures

Erne Classic coarse fishing competition
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterway users on the Erne System that the Castle Museum and Sligo Rd (Concrete) Jetties will be closed to mooring for the following periods to facilitate the Erne Classic coarse fishing competition:
Castle Museum Jetty
    – Tuesday 9th May at 08:00hrs to Friday 12th May at 18:00hrs
Sligo Road (Concrete) Jetty
    – Saturday 6th May at 08:00hrs to Friday 12th May at 18:00hrs
Masters of Vessels and waterways users are requested to proceed with additional caution in the vicinity of the fishing competition and to be aware of possibility of fishing lines in the water.

Erne System, Enniskillen, Castle Museum und Sligo Rd (Concrete) Jetties – Vorübergehende Schließungen Erne Classic coarse fishing competition
Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Wasserstraßenbenutzer des Erne-Systems darauf hinweisen, dass die Anlegestellen Castle Museum und ,Sligo Rd (Concrete) Jetties in den folgenden Zeiträumen für das Anlegen geschlossen werden, um den Erne Classic Wettbewerb im Classic coarse fishing zu ermöglichen:
Castle Museum Anlegestelle
    – Dienstag, 9. Mai um 08:00 Uhr bis Freitag, 12. Mai um 18:00 Uhr
Sligo Road (Beton) Anlegestelle
    – Samstag, den 6. Mai um 08:00 Uhr bis Freitag, den 12. Mai um 18:00 Uhr
Schiffskapitäne und Wasserstraßenbenutzer, werden gebeten, in der Nähe des Angelwettbewerbs zusätzliche Vorsicht walten zu lassen und sich der Möglichkeit von Angelschnüren im Wasser bewusst zu sein.

Royal Canal

Mullingar Harbour, Canoe Polo Events, Summer 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of vessels and waterways users on the Royal Canal that the following canoe polo events will take place in Mullingar Harbour during June, July and August 2023:

      • Junior Canoe Polo Competition – Sunday 21st May 2023
      • National Club Championships – 8 & 9 July 2023
      • Overload Canoe Polo Camp – 25 to 27 August 2023

Masters of Vessels are requested to moor outside the harbour area on these dates in order to facilitate the canoe polo events.

Royal Canal, Mullingar Harbour, Kanupolo-Veranstaltungen, Sommer 2023
Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Wasserstraßenbenutzer auf dem Royal Canal darauf hinweisen, dass im Juni, Juli und August 2023 im Hafen von Mullingar die folgenden Kanupolo-Veranstaltungen stattfinden werden:

      • Kanu-Polo-Wettbewerb für Junioren – Sonntag, 21. Mai 2023
      • Nationale Clubmeisterschaften – 8. und 9. Juli 2023
      • Überlast-Kanupolo-Camp – 25. bis 27. August 2023

Die Schiffsführer werden gebeten, an diesen Tagen außerhalb des Hafengebiets festzumachen, um die Kanupolo-Veranstaltungen zu ermöglichen.
