Lanesborough Triathlon Club Charity Swim
Monday 4th August 2025
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users of the Mid-Shannon that Lanesborough Triathlon Club Charity Swim will take place on Monday, 4th August 2025.

The swim will commence at the Kilnacarrow Bord na Móna Bridge and will cover a distance of approximately 3.5km, finishing at Hanley’s Marina, Lanesborough.
Navigation & Safety Advisory

- Swimmers and support craft will be active on the water from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- Where possible, swimmers should avoid swimming within the main navigation channel.
- Masters of vessels are requested to follow instructions from event marshals and safety boats and to keep clear of swimmers at all times.
- Vessel wash should be kept to a minimum when operating in the vicinity of swimmers and safety personnel, in the interest of safety.

Lanesborough Triathlon Club Charity Swim – Montag, 4. August 2025
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Nutzer des Mid-Shannon darauf hinweisen, dass am Montag, dem 4. August 2025, der Lanesborough Triathlon Club Charity Swim stattfindet.
Das Schwimmen beginnt an der Kilnacarrow Bord na Móna Bridge und erstreckt sich über eine Strecke von ca. 3,5 km bis zum Ziel in Hanley’s Marina, Lanesborough.
Hinweis zur Navigation und Sicherheit

- Die Schwimmer und Begleitboote sind von 14:00 bis 17:00 Uhr auf dem Wasser unterwegs.
- Die Schwimmer sollten nach Möglichkeit das Schwimmen im Hauptschifffahrtskanal vermeiden.
- Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, den Anweisungen der Veranstaltungsleiter und Sicherheitsboote zu folgen und sich jederzeit von den Schwimmern fernzuhalten.
- Aus Sicherheitsgründen sollte der Wellengang durch Schiffe in der Nähe von Schwimmern und Sicherheitspersonal auf ein Minimum reduziert werden.
