Waterways Ireland Classic Fishing Festival 11-15 May 2015

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Waterways Ireland Classic Fishing Festival will take place in various locations on Lough Erne from 11th to 15th May 2015.
Masters of vessels transiting the area should do so with care in the vicinity of anglers.
Waterways Ireland thanks their customers for their co-operation in this matter.

BARROW NAVIGATION

TRI 795 CARLOW – Sun 17thMay

Masters and owners are advised that the Tri 795 Carlow swim event will take place on 17th May between 13:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs between the area of the Rowing Club and Carlow Town Park slipway.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this stretch of the navigation and to heed any advice or instructions given by safety vessels.

GRAND CANAL –

BARROW LINE AND BARROW NAVIGATION

Canoeing Event – Sun 31 May

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that there will be a Canoeing Marathon of up to 70 canoeists taking place on the Grand Canal Barrow Line and Barrow Navigation between Athy and Monasterevin on 31 May 2015 between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs.
Masters and owners of vessels operating in the area should heed advice from race marshals.
Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused by this restriction and thanks its customers for their co-operation.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that there will be an open day of fun on the waterways at the 10th Lock at Ashtown Gate on the Royal Canal on 16th May 2015.
Masters and owners of vessels operating in the area should comply with guidance instructions from event officials.

16th – 17th May 2015

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Waterways Ireland Docklands Summer Festival will take place in and around Grand Canal Dock on 16th and 17th May 2015. There will be numerous water based events in Grand Canal Dock.
Masters and owners of vessels operating in the area should heed advice from event marshals and organisers.
