Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Drumleague Lock on Lough Allen canal will be closed on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th June 2022 to facilitate diving operations.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Rooskey Dry Dock and adjacent quay wall will have no access on Wednesday 29th and Thursday 30th June to facilitate diving operations.
Waterways Ireland apologies for any inconvenience caused and thanks its customers for their cooperation.

Waterways Ireland weist Kapitäne und Besitzer von Schiffen darauf hin, dass das Drumleague Lock am Lough Allen Kanal am Montag, den 27. und Dienstag, den 28. Juni 2022 geschlossen wird, um Taucheinsätze zu ermöglichen.
Waterways Ireland weist Kapitäne und Eigner von Schiffen darauf hin, dass das Rooskey Dry Dock und die angrenzende Kaimauer am Mittwoch, den 29. und Donnerstag, den 30. Juni 2022 nicht zugänglich sind, um Taucharbeiten zu ermöglichen.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für die entstandenen Unannehmlich-keiten und dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation.

Diving operations – Portumna and Ballymacegan Island Areas

Monday 11 to Sunday 17 October 2021

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels on the Shannon Navigation that the Underwater Archaeology Unit of the National Monuments Service will be carrying out diving operations from Monday 11th to Sunday 17th October 2021 in the following locations:

      • Portumna: From 500 metres North of Portumna bridge to Lough Derg
      • Ballymacegan Island, within the old navigation channel. Ballymacegan Island is 7km north of Portumna bridge.

All vessels are asked to take additional care when underway in these areas. A safety boat will be in attendance and Flag Alpha will be flown during diving operations.

Montag 11. bis Sonntag 17. Oktober 2021
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen auf der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass die Unterwasserarchäologie-Einheit des National Monuments Service von Montag, den 11. bis Sonntag, den 17. Oktober 2021 an den folgenden Stellen Tauchgänge durchführen wird:

      • Portumna: Von 500 Metern nördlich der Portumna-Brücke bis zum Lough Derg
      • Ballymacegan Island, innerhalb der alten Fahrrinne. Ballymacegan Island liegt 7 km nördlich der Portumna-Brücke.

Alle Schiffe werden gebeten, in diesen Gebieten besondere Vorsicht walten zu lassen, wenn sie unterwegs sind. Ein Sicherheitsboot wird vor Ort sein, und während der Tauchoperationen wird die Flagge Alpha gehisst.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.

Diving operations

Wednesday 22 to Friday 24 September 2021

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels on the Shannon Navigation that routine dive inspections are being carried out on all locks and waiting jetties on the Shannon Navigation from 22-09-21 to 24-09-21.
All vessels are asked to take additional care whilst approaching and departing locks during this time. Flag Alpha will be flown during diving operations and a safety boat will be in attendance.

Taucheinsätze Mittwoch 22. bis Freitag 24. September 2021
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen auf der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass vom 22.09.21 bis zum 24.09.21 routinemäßige Tauchinspektionen an allen Schleusen und Wartestegen auf der Shannon Navigation durchgeführt werden.
Alle Schiffe werden gebeten, während dieser Zeit beim Anfahren und Verlassen der Schleusen besondere Vorsicht walten zu lassen. Während der Tauchoperationen wird die Flagge Alpha gehisst und ein Sicherheitsboot wird anwesend sein.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.
