End of Winter Mooring Period
Masters and owners are advised that the winter mooring period finished on 31 Mar 2014 and Shannon Navigation Bye-law No. 17(3) now applies i.e. vessels should not berth in the same harbour for longer than the statutory period of 5 consecutive days nor more than a total of 7 days in any one month.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the Royal Canal West of Mosstown Harbour will remain closed until Friday 11th April in order to complete necessary repairs to a collapsed culvert.

MARINE NOTICE, No 31 of 2014
Grand Canal

Restricted Navigation at Lock 6 Ballyfermot
Due to an obstruction in the Grand Canal at Lock 6 Ballyfermot, navigation is restricted and boat passage may not be possible. As per MN 23 of 2014 masters should contact the Eastern Regional Office to make arrangements for passage in or out of Dublin, but note that this is currently affected by the above restriction.
