Jamestown Canal 
Closed for Essential Maintenance
from 11 February 2019 for 2 Weeks

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Jamestown Canal will be closed from 11 February 2019 for two weeks due to essential maintenance works being carried out.

Jamestown Kanal – Wird wegen notwendiger Wartung ab 11. Februar 2019 für 2 Wochen geschlossen.
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigentümer darauf hinweisen, dass der Jamestown-Kanal ab dem 11. Februar 2019 für zwei Wochen geschlossen sein wird, da grundlegende Wartungsarbeiten durchgeführt werden.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für die Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit.

Reinstatement of GREEN CONICAL BUOY

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Green Conical Buoy north of Kid’s Island on Lough Ree has been reinstated. Marine Notice 120 of 2018 is cancelled.

Completion of Maintenance Works on Athlone Lock Gates

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that essential maintenance works on Athlone lock gates are nearing completion.
Passage through Athlone lock will be possible from Friday 01 February 2019.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation in relation to this matter.

Abschluss der Wartungsarbeiten an den Schleusentoren von Athlone
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass die wesentlichen Wartungsarbeiten an den Schleusentoren von Athlone kurz vor dem Abschluss stehen. Die Passage durch die Schleuse Athlone ist ab Freitag, den 01. Februar 2019 möglich.
Mein besonderer Dank geht an die Mitarbeiter von Waterways-Ireland, die mir die Bilder von den Arbeiten am Athlon Lock zur Verfügung stellten. „Danke Paddy Harkin“

GRAND CANAL – NAAS LINE

Reduction in Water Levels and Restriction to Navigation -Naas Linie

Waterways Ireland wishes to advice all users of the Grand Canal – Naas Line – between Locks No. No. 2 and 3 that water levels will be lowered from 14th January to 17th March 2019 in order to facilitate deep gate replacement at Lock No. 3.

Navigation will not be possible at this time.

Vessels moored on this level (between Locks No. 2 and 3 are advised to re-locate to the 1strd Level (between Locks No. 1 and 2) where soft bank moorings are available.

Senkung des Wasserspiegels und Einschränkung der Navigation -Naas Linie
Waterways Ireland möchte allen Benutzern des Grand Canal – Naas Line – zwischen den Schleusen Nr. 2 und 3 mitteilen, dass der Wasserstand vom 14. Januar bis 17. März 2019 gesenkt wird, um den Austausch des tiefen Tores am Schleuse Nr. 3 zu erleichtern. Eine Navigation ist zur Zeit nicht möglich.
Schiffen, die auf dieser Ebene (zwischen den Schleusen Nr. 2 und 3) vertäut sind, wird empfohlen, sich in die erste Ebene (zwischen den Schleusen Nr. 1 und 2) zu begeben, wo weiche Uferverankerungen vorhanden sind.
