Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users that the public mooring jetty and slipway at Carry Bridge on Upper Lough Erne will be closed for improvement works from 30th March until the end of the end of May 2016.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Grand Canal – Main Line – between Baggot St. and Leeson St. Bridges – will be closed to navigation between10:00hrs to 15:00hrs on 8th March 2016 for the purpose of erecting an inflatable bridge across the canal.

Masters and owners are advised that the Portora Boat Club “Head of River” race will take place on Sat 5th. Mar 2016 from 09.00 hrs until 17.00hrs, the course will stretch from Culkey downstream to finish at the Portora Boat House, Enniskillen.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this stretch of the navigation and to heed any advice or instructions issued by the regatta officials.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Buckingham Sea Lock at Grand Canal Dock is currently non-operational due to a hydraulics defect and is currently closed to boat traffic.
Repairs will be undertaken as soon as possible and a further notification issued when it is due to re-open.
Waterways Ireland apologises to its customers for this inconvenience.
