Closure – Tuesday 16th July 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and water users that Albert Lock will be closed on Tuesday the 16th of July 2024, to facilitate repairs.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels that the Dry Dock in Athy is closed with immediate effect to facilitate repair works. A further Marine Notice will be issued when repairs are completed.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Barrow Navigation, Trockendock Athy – wegen Reparaturarbeiten geschlossen
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass das Trockendock in Athy mit sofortiger Wirkung geschlossen ist, um Reparaturarbeiten zu ermöglichen. Sobald die Reparaturen abgeschlossen sind, wird eine weitere Marine Notice herausgegeben.
Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Royal Canal – Mullingar

Royal Canal to St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club

Towpath Closure –01 July to 15 August

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify users of the Royal Canal feeder in Mullingar that the towpath between Royal Canal and St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club will be closed from 01 July to 15 August 2024 inclusive. This closure is to facilitate new culvert construction underneath The Royal Canal Supply channel.

Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Royal Canal – Mullingar, Royal Canal bis St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club
Sperrung des Treidelpfades – 01. Juli bis 15. August
Waterways Ireland möchte die Nutzer des Royal Canal Zubringers in Mullingar darüber informieren, dass der Treidelpfad zwischen dem Royal Canal und dem St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club vom 01. Juli bis einschließlich 15. August 2024 gesperrt wird. Diese Sperrung erfolgt, um den Bau eines neuen Durchlasses unter dem Royal Canal Supply Channel zu ermöglichen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert die damit verbundenen Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Weed cutting – 28th June 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that weed cutting will take place over the coming days on the Lecarrow Canal. This work will commence today, Friday 28th June 2024.

Masters of vessels and water users are requested to proceed with additional caution and check weed traps regularly in the vicinity of this work.

Waterways Ireland thanks all vessel owners and operators for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Shannon Navigation, Lecarrow-Kanal, Mäharbeiten wegen Seegras – 28. Juni 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffsführer und Wassernutzer darauf hinweisen, dass in den kommenden Tagen auf dem Lecarrow Canal Unkrautschnittarbeiten durchgeführt werden. Diese Arbeiten beginnen am heutigen Freitag, den 28. Juni 2024.
Schiffskapitäne und Wassernutzer werden gebeten, mit besonderer Vorsicht vorzugehen und den Weedprotector in der Nähe dieser Arbeiten regelmäßig zu kontrollieren.
Waterways Ireland dankt allen Schiffseignern und -betreibern für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and users of the Shannon Navigation that The Great Lake Swim will take place between Mountshannon Harbour and Bushy Island / Cribby Islands on Saturday 13th July 2024.
The Shannon Navigation between Mountshannon Harbour and Bushy Island / Cribby Islands will be closed from 1000hrs to 1600hrs on Saturday 13th July 2024.
Open Water Sea Swim Galway – 3.9km Route
