Dragon Boat regatta – 12th June 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users of the Barrow Navigation that a Dragon Boat regatta will take place in Carlow Town Park, Graiguecullen from 0800hrs until 1830hrs on Sunday 12th June 2022.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash and note any directions issued by the stewards.

Drachenbootregatta – 12. Juni 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Benutzer der Barrow Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass am Sonntag, den 12. Juni 2022, von 8.00 bis 18.30 Uhr im Carlow Town Park, Graiguecullen, eine Drachenbootregatta stattfinden wird.
Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und mit minimaler Abwaschung zu fahren und alle Anweisungen der Stewards zu beachten.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Waterways Ireland TriAthy Triathlon Event,
4th – 5th June 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the swim element of the above event will take place in Athy on Saturday 4th June from 0730hrs until 1230hrs & Sunday 5th June from 0900hrs until 1230hrs.
Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this section of the river and heed any instructions issued by the event marshals and in particular to keep a look-out for swimmers in the water.
Masters are also advised that the run element of the above event will take place from 1000hrs until 1500hrs in the Ardreigh Lock area. To facilitate the run, the lock will be closed for this period each day.

Waterways Ireland TriAthy Triathlon Veranstaltung, 4. – 5. Juni 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass das Schwimmelement der oben genannten Veranstaltung am Samstag, den 4. Juni von 7.30 Uhr bis 12.30 Uhr und am Sonntag, den 5. Juni von 9.00 Uhr bis 12.30 Uhr in Athy stattfinden wird.
Die Kapitäne werden gebeten, bei der Durchfahrt dieses Flussabschnitts mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und möglichst wenig Wasser zu fahren und die Anweisungen der Streckenposten zu befolgen und insbesondere nach Schwimmern im Wasser Ausschau zu halten.
Die Masters werden außerdem darauf hingewiesen, dass der Lauf der oben genannten Veranstaltung von 1000 bis 1500 Uhr im Bereich der Ardreigh-Schleuse stattfinden wird. Um den Lauf zu ermöglichen, wird die Schleuse für diesen Zeitraum täglich geschlossen sein.

Diving Operations, 01 to 12 June 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that a diving operation and underway survey will take place in the vicinity of Ballymacegan Island and Tiranascragh from Wed 01 June to Sun 12 June 2022. These locations are approx. 8km upstream of Portumna Bridge.
Safety vessels will be supporting the diving operation and temporary markers will be deployed to mark the dive area.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed with additional caution in the vicinity of Ballymacegan Island and Tiranascragh from Wed 01 June to Sun 12 June 2022.

Gebiet Portumna, Ballymacegan Island, Tauchoperationen, 01. bis 12. Juni 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass von Mittwoch, den 01. Juni, bis Sonntag, den 12. Juni 2022, in der Nähe von Ballymacegan Island und Tiranascragh ein Taucheinsatz und eine Unterwasseruntersuchung stattfinden werden. Diese Orte befinden sich ca. 8 km stromaufwärts von der Portumna-Brücke.
Sicherheitsschiffe werden die Tauchoperationen unterstützen, und es werden vorübergehend Markierungen angebracht, um das Tauchgebiet zu kennzeichnen.
Schiffskapitäne werden gebeten, in der Nähe von Ballymacegan Island und Tiranascragh von Mittwoch, dem 01. Juni, bis Sonntag, dem 12. Juni 2022, zusätzliche Vorsicht walten zu lassen.

IFI Fish Stock survey, 07 to 25 June 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that an IFI Fish stock survey will take place on Lough Ree from 07 to 25 June 2022.
Survey nets will be set in up to 100 locations on Lough Ree depending on weather and other factors. All nets will be marked with orange buoys and identified with “IFI Survey” markings. IFI vessels will be operating by day and night during the survey.
Masters of vessels are requested to maintain a sharp lookout while underway on Lough Ree and to give all marked buoys a wide berth.
