Dive Operations – Week Commencing 25th September

Waterways Ireland wishes to inform masters of vessels and waterway users that Diving operations will be commencing at Tarmonbarry Weir from Monday 25th September for approx. 1 week.
Alpha Flag (Divers Flag) will be flown to indicate the presence of divers in the water. Please proceed with additional caution in the area.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Shannon-Navigation, Tarmonbarry-Wehr, Taucheinsätze, Woche ab 25.09-2023
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und die Nutzer der Wasserstraße darüber informieren, dass am Tarmonbarry Weir ab Montag, dem 25. September, für ca. eine Woche Taucheinsätze stattfinden werden.
Die Alpha-Flagge (Taucherflagge) wird gehisst, um die Anwesenheit von Tauchern im Wasser anzuzeigen. Bitte verhalten Sie sich in diesem Gebiet mit erhöhter Vorsicht.
Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Offaly Rowing Club-Time Trials 30 September 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and owners of vessel that Offaly Rowing Club will be holding time trials on the Grand Canal, between Lock 23 and Lock 24, on 30th September 2023.
The event will take place between 08:00 and 16:00 hours.
Users of the navigation and Greenway are requested to follow the directions given by the event marshals.
Waterways Ireland thanks all its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Grand Canal Locks 23 & 24, Offaly Rowing Club, Zeitfahren, 30. September 2023
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass der Offaly Rowing Club am 30. September 2023 auf dem Grand Canal zwischen Schleuse 23 und Schleuse 24 ein Zeitfahren durchführen wird.
Die Veranstaltung findet zwischen 08:00 und 16:00 Uhr statt.
Die Benutzer der Navigation und des Greenway werden gebeten, den Anweisungen der Streckenposten zu folgen.
Waterways Ireland dankt allen Gästen für ihre Mitarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit.

Locks 35 & 36

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and waterway users that as part of the GreenWin project, new deep well and flow devices are to be installed at Locks 35 & 36 on the Grand Canal at Shannon Harbour.
These works are due to begin Monday, 25th September and will continue for approx. 8 weeks. The works are land based and navigation through the Locks will not be affected.

Grand Canal – Shannon Harbour, Lock 35 und 36
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Benutzer der Wasserstraße darauf hinweisen, dass im Rahmen des GreenWin-Projekts an den Schleusen 35 und 36 des Grand Canal im Hafen von Shannon neue Tiefbrunnen und Durchflussvorrichtungen installiert werden sollen.
Die Arbeiten beginnen am Montag, den 25. September, und werden ca. 8 Wochen dauern. Die Arbeiten finden an Land statt und die Schifffahrt durch die Schleusen wird nicht beeinträchtigt.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Benutzern für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Grand Canal – Shannon Harbour

Quay Wall Repair – 25th September to mid-November

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and waterway users that it will be carrying out maintenance works on a damaged section of the north quay wall in Shannon Harbour.
Works will begin on Monday the 25th of September and will last approx. 7 weeks, hours of work 9am to 5pm. A section of the harbour wall will be closed off to boat users during this time.
The access road to the north of Shannon harbour will be closed to public traffic, only local traffic will be permitted.
Water Levels in Shannon Harbour may have to be lowered for a time to allow these works to be completed.

Grand Canal – Shannon Harbour
Reparatur der Kaimauer – 25. September bis Mitte November
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen und Nutzer der Wasserstraße darauf hinweisen, dass an einem beschädigten Abschnitt der nördlichen Kaimauer im Hafen von Shannon Instandhaltungsarbeiten durchgeführt werden.
Die Arbeiten beginnen am Montag, den 25. September, und werden ca. 7 Wochen dauern, Arbeitszeiten von 9 bis 17 Uhr. Während dieser Zeit wird ein Teil der Hafenmauer für Bootsfahrer gesperrt sein.
Die Zufahrtsstraße im Norden des Hafens von Shannon wird für den öffentlichen Verkehr gesperrt, nur der örtliche Verkehr wird zugelassen.
Der Wasserstand im Shannon Harbour muss möglicherweise vorübergehend gesenkt werden, um die Arbeiten durchführen zu können.
