Closure of WI jetties at Clonmacnoise, Shannonbridge, Shannon Harbour and Banagher on Shannon Navigation
Closure of visiting moorings on the Grand Canal, Royal Canal, Barrow Navigation and Barrow Line in Counties Laois, Offaly and Kildare
With effect from 23:59hrs on Friday 7th August 2020
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and waterways users that in response to the latest advice from the Government and health authorities:

- Closure of WI jetties at Clonmacnoise, Shannonbridge, Shannon Harbour and Banagher on the Shannon Navigation will take effect from 23:59hrs on Fri 7th August 2020 for a two week period.
- The WI quays at Connaught Harbour Portumna will be used as an operations base for Carrickcraft and Silverline vessels from Saturday 8th August 2020. Limited mooring space will be available at Connaught Harbour for a two week period.
- Visiting moorings on the Grand Canal, Royal Canal, Barrow Navigation and Barrow Line in Counties Laois, Offaly and Kildare will close with effect from 23:59hrs on Fri 7th August for a two week period.
- The locks and facilities on all other parts of the Shannon Navigation and the Grand Canal, Royal Canal, Barrow Navigation and Barrow Line are open.
The network of canals, towpaths and river navigations managed by Waterways Ireland remain open, but we are strongly encouraging people to strictly observe social distancing measures. We are asking our users not to congregate, to keep moving, and allow ample space for others to pass in accordance with social distancing protocols.
Waterways Ireland is encouraging all Masters of vessels and water users on all navigations to continue to follow the guidelines which have been provided by the health authorities.

Schließung der Liegeplätze für Besucher am Canal Grande, Canal Royal, Barrow Navigation und Barrow Line in den Grafschaften Laois, Offaly und Kildare
Mit Wirkung ab Freitag, dem 7. August 2020, um 23:59 Uhr
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Wasserstraßenbenutzer darauf hinweisen, dass dies eine Reaktion auf die neuesten Ratschläge der Regierung und der Gesundheitsbehörden ist:

- Die Schließung der WI-Anlegestellen in Clonmacnoise, Shannonbridge, Shannon Harbour und Banagher auf der Shannon Navigation wird am 7. August 2020 ab Fr. 23:59 Uhr für einen Zeitraum von zwei Wochen in Kraft treten.
- Die WI-Kais im Connaught Harbour Portumna werden ab Samstag, dem 8. August 2020, als Operationsbasis für Carrickcraft- und Silverline-Schiffe genutzt. Im Hafen von Connaught Harbour wird für zwei Wochen ein begrenzter Liegeplatz zur Verfügung stehen.
- Die Liegeplätze am Grand Canal, Royal Canal, Barrow Navigation und Barrow Line in den Grafschaften Laois, Offaly und Kildare werden am 7. August mit Wirkung von 23:59 Stunden für zwei Wochen geschlossen.
- Die Schleusen und Anlagen aller anderen Teile der Shannonschifffahrt und des Grand Canal, des Royal Canal, der Barrow Navigation und der Barrow Line sind geöffnet.
Das von Waterways Ireland verwaltete Netz von Kanälen, Treidelpfaden und Flussschifffahrtswegen bleibt offen, aber wir fordern die Menschen nachdrücklich auf, soziale Distanzierungsmaßnahmen strikt einzuhalten. Wir fordern unsere Nutzer auf, sich nicht zu versammeln, in Bewegung zu bleiben und in Übereinstimmung mit den Protokollen zur sozialen Distanzierung ausreichend Platz für andere zu lassen.
Waterways Ireland ermutigt alle Schiffskapitäne und Wassernutzer auf allen Schifffahrtswegen, sich weiterhin an die Richtlinien zu halten, die von den Gesundheitsbehörden vorgegeben wurden.
