Enniskillen – Portora

Head of River Rowing Race – Sat 28th. Feb 2015

Masters and owners are advised that the Portora Boat Club “Head of River” race will take place on Sat 28th. Feb 2015 from 09.00 hrs until 17.00hrs, the course will stretch from Inishkeen downstream to finish at the Portora Boat House, Enniskillen.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this stretch of the navigation and to heed any advice or instructions issued by the event officials.

Electric Shore Power at Round O

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise its customers that the metered electric power supply at the Round O moorings in Enniskillen will be turned off over the winter months.
The shore power supply will be discontinued from 14th November 2014 until Easter 2015.

Restricted Navigation through Portora Lock Gates

Waterways Ireland has been notified of the following:

„Rivers Agency wish to advise masters and owners of vessels that due to essential repair works the up-stream lock gates at Portora Barrage will be out of commission for approximately one week beginning Tuesday 21/10/14.
Navigation through the lock gates will continue during these works but unfortunately will be restricted to vessels of 26 feet or less in length.
Rivers Agency would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum.

Heritage Boat Rally

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the Heritage Boat Association (HBA) Rally will participate in the Belleek Festival from Fri 22nd. to Sun 24th. Aug, mooring will be limited at the slipway, marina and pump-out berths.
Further, the HBA Rally will be in Enniskillen from Fri 29th to Sun 31st. Aug. The Regal Pass jetty will be reserved to accommodate the fleet from Friday morning until Sun evening.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Heritage Boat Association 2014 Rally

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the Heritage Boat Association Rally will take place from Fri 1st. Aug until Sun 31st. Aug 2014.
The rally will transit from Ballinamore on the Shannon Erne Waterway to the Erne System during this period visiting Belturbet, Carrybridge, Lough Erne Yacht Club, Belleek and returning to Enniskillen.
Masters should be aware the rally will bring extra vessels to the various moorings that they visit and that there may be some congestion associated with its passage.
