Reopened after repair works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels on the Shannon Navigation that Cleighran More jetty on Lough Allen has been reopened after repair works (Re MN 87 of 2021).

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen auf der Shannon Navigation darüber informieren, dass die Anlegestelle Cleighran More am Lough Allen nach Reparaturarbeiten wieder geöffnet wurde (Re MN 87 of 2021).
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels on the Shannon Navigation that Cleighran More jetty on Lough Allen is closed until notice due to storm damage.

Lough Allen, Acres Lake, Dromod, Summer Cove
Swimming – Advisory Notice

Waterways Ireland wishes to all waterways users that a swimming advisory notice is in place for Lough Allen, Acres Lake, Dromod and Summer Cove.
Leitrim County Council has advised that swimming is not recommended at these locations due to reports of poor water quality.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Swimming – Advisory Notice

Schwimmen – Warnhinweis
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Wasserstraßenbenutzer darauf hinweisen, dass für Lough Allen, Acres Lake, Dromod und Summer Cove ein Badeverbot gilt.
Das Leitrim County Council hat mitgeteilt, dass das Schwimmen an diesen Orten aufgrund von Berichten über schlechte Wasserqualität nicht empfohlen wird.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

An Toastal Blue Way Water Festival 27 June to 1 July

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that An Toastal Blue Way Water Festival will take place on the north Shannon from Mon 27 June until Fri 1 Jul.
Masters should expect to meet increased water activity in this area over those days involving a variety of both small and large craft.
Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing through the navigation and note any advice given by safety boat marshals associated with the events.

Aids to Navigation
Change of Colour of Starboardhand Marks
from Black to Green

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that work will commence this week on changing the colour of starboardhand marks from the present colour black to the colour green.
Masters of vessels should take additional care in the area, if in doubt consult with the Lockkeeper in Drumshanbo on entering Lough Allen.
Further notice will be issued on completion.
