Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Master of Vessels that notification has been received from Iarnród Éireann that the Newcomen Rail Lift Bridge will not be operational for the final lift date of the 2024 season.
Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused for navigation users in this area.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise that the provisional schedule of bridge lift dates 2023 for Newcomen Bridge, Royal Canal, Dublin is as follows:

Arrangements have been made for Iarnród Éireann to open the bridge on the above dates / times, if there is demand.
Waterways Ireland Eastern Regional Office (Tel: +353(0)1 868 0148 or dublincanals@waterwaysireland.org ) require 2 weeks’ notice from boaters for use of these lifts. Should there not be a demand (min 2 boats) for a particular date, Iarnród Éireann will be notified by WI that the scheduled lift is cancelled.
A maximum number of boats passing will be implemented to keep to the times given above for the planned lifts (16 for the Sat / Sun lifts & 8 for the weekday lifts). Priority will be given on a first come first served basis.
On day of lift, boaters and passengers must follow guidance from Waterways Ireland staff about sequence of passage under bridge & through Lock 1.

Royal Canal, Dublin Hebetermine der Newcomen-Brücke 2023 Waterways Ireland möchte darauf hinweisen, dass der vorläufige Zeitplan für die Hebung der Newcomen Bridge, Royal Canal, Dublin, im Jahr 2023 wie oben in der Tabelle aussieht.
ANMERKUNGEN:
Es wurden Vorkehrungen getroffen, dass Iarnród Éireann die Brücke zu den oben genannten Daten / Zeiten öffnen kann, wenn eine entsprechende Nachfrage besteht.
Waterways Ireland Eastern Regional Office (Tel: +353(0)1 868 0148 oder dublincanals@waterwaysireland.org) verlangt von den Bootsfahrern eine Vorankündigung von 2 Wochen für die Nutzung dieser Lifte. Sollte für ein bestimmtes Datum keine Nachfrage (mindestens 2 Boote) bestehen, wird Iarnród Éireann von WI benachrichtigt, dass der geplante Lift abgesagt wird.
Um die oben genannten Zeiten für die geplanten Lifte einzuhalten, wird eine Höchstzahl von Booten festgelegt (16 für die Sa/So-Lifte und 8 für die Wochentagslifte). Die Priorität wird nach dem Prinzip „Wer zuerst kommt, mahlt zuerst“ vergeben.
Am Tag der Aufhebung müssen Bootsfahrer und Passagiere die Anweisungen der Mitarbeiter von Waterways Ireland zur Reihenfolge der Durchfahrt unter der Brücke und durch Schleuse 1 befolgen.

The schedule of Newcomen Bridge lift dates for 2016 is now updated. Planned lifts after June have had to be cancelled until necessary upgrade works are completed. A further Marine Notice will issue to advise.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that a final 2015 Newcomen Bridge Lift has been arranged for Thursday 29th October 2015.
Works are ongoing to repair Spencer Dock Sea Lock (refer Closure Notice MN86/2015) but, as this is yet incomplete, navigation through the Lock and Dock area is only possible at particular stages of the tide. For this bridge lift date, the tide times are only suited to travel in a westward direction outbound from Dublin.
