Canoe Polo Event

Royal Canal – Mullingar

Issued: 30 January 2026

Waterway users of the Royal Canal are advised that a Canoe Polo event will take place in Mullingar Harbour on Saturday 7 February 2026 and Sunday 8 February 2026, between 0730hrs and 1400hrs on both days.

Waterway users are requested to proceed with caution when approaching the event area and to co-operate with instructions issued by event marshals.

Notice Nr. 11, Kanu-Polo-Veranstaltung – RC Mullingar: 30. Januar 2026
Die Nutzer der Wasserstraße Royal Canal werden darauf hingewiesen, dass am Samstag, dem 7. Februar 2026, und Sonntag, dem 8. Februar 2026, jeweils zwischen 7:30 Uhr und 14:00 Uhr im Hafen von Mullingar eine Kanu-Polo-Veranstaltung stattfindet.
Wassersportler werden gebeten, sich dem Veranstaltungsort mit Vorsicht zu nähern und den Anweisungen der Veranstaltungsmitarbeiter Folge zu leisten.
Waterways Ireland bedankt sich für die Zusammenarbeit aller Wassersportler und dankt Ihnen für Ihre Mithilfe bei der Gewährleistung einer sicheren und erfolgreichen Veranstaltung.

Royal Canal to St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club

Towpath Closure –01 July to 15 August

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify users of the Royal Canal feeder in Mullingar that the towpath between Royal Canal and St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club will be closed from 01 July to 15 August 2024 inclusive. This closure is to facilitate new culvert construction underneath The Royal Canal Supply channel.

Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Sperrung des Treidelpfades – 01. Juli bis 15. August
Waterways Ireland möchte die Nutzer des Royal Canal Zubringers in Mullingar darüber informieren, dass der Treidelpfad zwischen dem Royal Canal und dem St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club vom 01. Juli bis einschließlich 15. August 2024 gesperrt wird. Diese Sperrung erfolgt, um den Bau eines neuen Durchlasses unter dem Royal Canal Supply Channel zu ermöglichen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert die damit verbundenen Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.
