Tree Felling Works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of possible delays that may be experienced on the navigation at Derrinkip, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim adjacent to Muckros Bridge No.16 due to tree felling operations by a forestry contractor. The works are scheduled to take place from Monday 9th March to Monday 16th March inclusive.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this stretch of the navigation and to heed any advice or instruction issued by the works co-ordinator.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Lock 14 Drumduff

Intended closure for works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Lock 14 Drumduff will be closed to boat traffic from Thurs 8th Jan 2015 until the end of March 2015..
The lock will remain closed over the winter period for repairs to the lock gates, collars and associated infrastructure.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Public Harbours

End of Winter Mooring Period

Masters and owners are advised that the winter mooring period ends on Sun 31 Mar 2013 thereafter Navigation Bye-law No. 17(3) applies i.e. vessels should not berth in the same harbour for longer than the statutory period of 5 consecutive days nor more than a total of 7 days in any one month.

Lock 1  Corraquill closure

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and users of the waterways that the Shannon – Erne Waterway will be closed to navigation at Lock 1 Corraquill from 29th January 2013 to 31st March 2013 to facilitate repairs to lock gates.

Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause its customers.
