Harbours and Lock Lead-in Jetties

Rising Water Levels

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners to take due care with rising water levels as lead-in jetties to locks become submerged and are untenable as moorings.
Also, the mooring lines of vessels berthed in harbours for the winter period should be tended to frequently in the rising water conditions to avoid damage to the vessel or mooring infrastructure.
