MARINE NOTICE, No 1 of 2015

Shannon-Erne Waterway

Lock 14 Drumduff

Intended closure for works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Lock 14 Drumduff will be closed to boat traffic from Thurs 8th Jan 2015 until the end of March 2015..
The lock will remain closed over the winter period for repairs to the lock gates, collars and associated infrastructure.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Waterways Ireland Killaloe Water Festival

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the Killaloe Water Festival will take place both upstream and downstream of the Killaloe – Ballina town bridge and also in the vicinity of the Killaloe Canal from 1900hrs on Fri 5th. to 1800hrs on Sun 7th . Sep 2014.

Masters of vessels are requested to note the advice of marshals when passing through the area and to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash.
