Lower Bann Navigation
Increased Water Levels and Flow Rates

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and users of the Lower Bann Navigation to expect increased water levels and extremely strong currents and flow rates following recent heavy rainfall particularly when navigating in the vicinity of jetties, locks and bridges and to note that fixed structures such as jetties and slipways are likely to submerge.
The higher water levels will give rise to reduced clearance under bridges, consequently masters are advised to closely monitored their air draft  on approach to bridges and navigate with due caution.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in this matter.

Beispiel 2: Eintrag der Marine Notice 6-2011,  Shannon Navigation-Lough Derg  Navigations Marker “E” out of Position.
