MARINE NOTICE, No 14 of 2015

Shannon-Erne Waterway

Coologe Bridge & Bellaheady Bridge

Intended closure

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the navigation between Coologe Bridge (No. 25) and Bellaheady Bridge (No. 26) on the Shannon-Erne Waterway will be closed to boat traffic from Saturday 7th March 2015 to Monday 9th March 2015 inclusive.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Shannon-Erne Waterway

Muckros Bridge

Tree Felling Works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of possible delays that may be experienced on the navigation at Derrinkip, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim adjacent to Muckros Bridge No.16 due to tree felling operations by a forestry contractor. The works are scheduled to take place from Monday 9th March to Monday 16th March inclusive.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this stretch of the navigation and to heed any advice or instruction issued by the works co-ordinator.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

GRAND CANAL – RINGSEND

SAILING REGATTA 21st March 2015

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that there will be a regatta of Firefly Dinghies in Grand Canal Dock on 21st March 2015 between 09:00hrs and 16:00hrs.
Masters and owners of vessels operating in Grand Canal Dock should refrain from entering the race course and comply with guidance instructions from race officials.

GRAND CANAL

Daingean to Ballycommon

Navigation Restrictions, Sat 28th March 2015

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters and users of the Grand Canal that Offaly Rowing Club will be holding a series of time trials on saturday 28th march from 09.00 hrs. until 16:00 hrs. approx.
The Rowing time trials will be held between Daingean and Ballycommon on the Grand Canal
Navigation will be restricted during the period of the trials.
Masters of Vessels should heed steward’s instructions.
