Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Tarmonbarry Lock will be closed to boating traffic from Tues 6 Oct until to Fri 23 Oct to facilitate remedial works to the lock gates.
During the works, vessels may circumnavigate the lock using the Camlin River, entering or leaving the Shannon 3km north of Tarmonbarry and similarly at Clondra Lock, immediately south of Tarmonbarry .
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the above events will take place on Sat 12 Sep from 1000hrs until 1300hrs and will include the presence of kayaks and canoes both on the Camlin Blueway and in Richmond Harbour.
Masters are requested to give priority at floating moorings to the launching and recovery of canoes and be aware of novice users taking part in the event.
Where masters meet canoes on the Blueway they are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash.

Waterways Ireland has been advised by ESB Networks that it has commenced erecting cables across the Ardnacrusha headrace canal between Blackwater Bridge and Ardnacrusha Power Station.
Masters are advised to reduce speed and exercise extreme caution when navigating in this area.
Works are scheduled to last up until 18th Sep inclusive and will be underway during the weekend also.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that there will be a charity raft race in Grand Canal Dock on 19th. September 2015.
Racing will be on the North Side of the outer dock. Masters and owners of vessels operating in Grand Canal Dock should refrain from entering the event area and comply with guidance instructions from race officials.
