Theft of Vessel – Athlone

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise owners and Masters of vessels navigating in the Athlone area that a work boat was stolen from the Quay wall at the Dock in Athlone in the early hours of 12 April 2018.
Stolen vessel is a 6m aluminium day cruiser type with royal blue hull and white wheelhouse fitted with 100HP Mercury (black) outboard. Vessel was being used as a workboat at the Docks.
Owners are requested to be vigilant at this time and report any suspicious activity to Athlone Garda Station @ 090-6492600.

Diebstahl eines Bootes – Athlone

Waterways Ireland möchte die Eigner und Kapitäne von Schiffen, die im Gebiet von Athlone fahren, darauf hinweisen, dass in den frühen Morgenstunden des 12. April 2018 ein Arbeitsboot von der Kaimauer am Dock in Athlone gestohlen wurde.
Gestohlenes Schiff ist ein 6m Aluminium-Tageskreuzer mit königsblauem Rumpf und weißem Steuerhaus, ausgestattet mit 100PS Mercury (schwarz) Außenborder. Das Schiff wurde als Arbeitsboot bei den Docks eingesetzt.
Die Besitzer werden gebeten, zu diesem Zeitpunkt wachsam zu sein und jede verdächtige Aktivität der Athlone Garda Station unter 090-6492600 zu melden.

GRAND CANAL – SALLINS

SALLINS WATER DAY 15 April 2018

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that there will be a water activity day in the Sallins Harbour area on 15 April 2018.

Masters and owners of vessels operating in the area should navigate with caution when entering the event area and comply with guidance instructions from event officials. Navigation in the area will be restricted between 09:30hrs and 16:00hrs.

Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their co-operation in this matter.

SALLINS WATER DAY 15. April 2018
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Eigner von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass am 15. April 2018 ein Wasseraktivitätstag im Hafen von Sallins stattfinden wird.
Kapitäne und Eigner von Schiffen, die in diesem Gebiet operieren, sollten beim Betreten des Veranstaltungsgeländes mit Vorsicht vorgehen und die Anweisungen der Veranstaltungsbeamten befolgen. Die Navigation im Gebiet wird zwischen 09:30 Uhr und 16:00 Uhr eingeschränkt.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für die Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit.

Drilling of Bore Holes – Athlone

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise owners and Masters of vessels navigating in the Athlone area that a series of bore holes will be drilled in the vicinity of the lock and main town bridge as follows:

      • Monday April 9th 2018 – Mobilisation of Drill Rig.
      • Tuesday April 10th 2018 to Friday April 13th 2018 and Monday April 16th 2018 to Wednesday April 18th 2018.
      • No works will take place over the week-end of Saturday/Sunday April 14th/15th 2018.

Masters should exercise caution when navigating in this area i.e. 30 metres upstream of Athlone Lock and from the Docks (rear of Sean’s Bar) to the strand (Car Park).

Bohren von Bohrlöchern – Athlone

Waterways Ireland möchte die Eigner und Kapitäne von Schiffen, die im Gebiet von Athlone fahren, darauf hinweisen, dass eine Reihe von Bohrlöchern in der Nähe der Schleuse und der Hauptstadtbrücke wie folgt gebohrt werden:

    • Montag 9. April 2018 – Mobilisierung des Bohrgerätes.
    • Dienstag 10. April 2018 bis Freitag 13. April 2018 und Montag 16. April 2018 bis Mittwoch 18. April 2018.
    • Am Wochenende vom Samstag/Sonntag 14./15. April 2018 finden keine Arbeiten statt.

Meister sollten vorsichtig sein, wenn sie in diesem Bereich navigieren, d.h. 30 Meter stromaufwärts der Athlone Schleuse und von den Docks (hinter der Sean’s Bar) bis zum Strand (Parkplatz).

Annual Limerick Regatta and Rowing Ireland National Schools Regatta

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise that rowing regattas and championship racing will take place from Sat 28 April until Sunday 29 April on the Shannon Navigation at O’Brien’s Bridge Co. Clare and the surrounding area.
Masters of power boats are requested to navigate with caution, heed marshal’s advice and give rowing craft a wide berth when navigating in this area.

Jährliche Limerick Regatta und Rudern Irland National Schools Regatta. Waterways Ireland weist darauf hin, dass Ruderregatten und Meister-schaftsrennen stattfinden werden von Sa 28. April bis Sonntag 29. April auf der Shannon Navigation bei O’Brien’s Bridge Co. Clare und Umgebung. Kapitäne von Motorbooten werden gebeten, mit Vorsicht zu navigieren, den Rat des Marschalls zu befolgen und Ruderbooten einen weiten Bogen zu machen, wenn sie in diesem Gebiet navigieren.

Removal of Vessel from ROYAL CANAL

Canal Act 1986 (Bye-Laws) 1988XXX

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that:

a. Non permitted vessels, Article 6(8)
b. Non attended and apparently abandoned vessels, Article 6(8)
c. Doubled moored and causing obstruction (sunk) , Article 27 (3)
d. Vessels deemed to be/likely to cause a hazard to navigation, Article 33(3), may be removed from the Royal Canal at Coolnahay and Richmond Harbour Area – (East of 45th Lock on the Royal Canal) within two weeks of this notice. Removed vessels may then be subsequently disposed of in accordance with Article 34(2).

Waterways Ireland wishes to thank their customer for their cooperation in this matter.

Entfernung der Boote aus dem Royal Canal

Kanalgesetz 1986 (Bye-Laws)1988.

Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Eigner von Schiffen darauf hinweisen:

a. Nicht zugelassene Schiffe, Artikel 6 Absatz 8
b. Nicht besuchte und offensichtlich verlassene Schiffe, Artikel 6 Absatz 8
c. Verdoppelte Verankerung und Behinderung (Versenkung), Artikel 27 Absatz 3
d. Schiffe, von denen angenommen wird, dass sie eine Gefahr für die Schifffahrt darstellen, Artikel 33 Absatz 3,
kann innerhalb von zwei Wochen nach dieser Mitteilung vom Royal Canal in Coolnahay und Richmond Harbour Area – (östlich der 45. Schleuse am Royal Canal) entfernt werden. Die entfernten Schiffe können anschließend gemäß Artikel 34 Absatz 2 beseitigt werden.

Die oben genannten Schiffsklassen werden mit einem Aufkleber versehen (mit entsprechendem Zugang) und dann aus der Schifffahrt entfernt, um die Liegeplätze sowohl für Besucher als auch für Gastschiffe freizumachen.
