Erne System
Upper Lough Erne Long Distance Swimming events – Saturday 27 July 2019
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that a long distance swimming events will take place on Sat 27 July 2019 on Upper Lough Erne.
-
- The 17km Swim will start at 1000 hrs at Carrybridge and finish at Lakeland Forum Enniskillen at approx. 1800 hrs
- The 10Km Swim will start at Tamlaght Bay and finish at The Lakeland Forum.
- The 5km Swim will start at Culky Jetty and finish at The Lakeland Forum.
- The Ted Kennan Mile swim will take place around Castle Island In Enniskillen.
Kapitäne of all vessels should take note of this event and when encountering swimmers accompanied by a Kayak / Canoe reduce speed and pass without causing any wash which could affect the swimmers.
Marshalling boats will also accompany the swimmers and any directions given should be adhered to.

Langstreckenschwimmen – Samstag 27. Juli 2019
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass am 27. Juli 2019 am Samstag, den 27. Juli 2019, am Upper Lough Erne eine Langstreckenschwimm-Veranstaltung stattfinden wird.

- Das 17 km lange Schwimmen beginnt um 1000 Uhr in Carrybridge und endet am Lakeland Forum Enniskillen um ca. 1800 Uhr.
- Das 10 km lange Schwimmen beginnt in Tamlaght Bay und endet im Lakeland Forum.
- Das 5 km lange Schwimmen beginnt am Culky Jetty und endet am Lakeland Forum.
- Das Ted Kennan Mile Schwimmen findet rund um Castle Island in Enniskillen statt.
Die Kapitäne aller Schiffe sollten dieses Ereignis zur Kenntnis nehmen und bei Begegnungen mit Schwimmern, die von einem Kajak / Kanu begleitet werden, die Geschwindigkeit reduzieren und passieren, ohne eine Wäsche zu verursachen, die die Schwimmer beeinträchtigen könnte.
Auch Rangierboote begleiten die Schwimmer und alle Anweisungen sollten befolgt werden.
