Waterways Ireland wishes to inform masters of vessels and waterway users on Lough Ree that a port hand lateral marker on the South side of Inchmore Island is currently off station.
Masters of Vessels should proceed with additional caution in the vicinity of Inchmore Island.

Shannon-Navigation, Lough Ree, Inchmore Island, Backbordmarker außer Betrieb Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und Wasserstraßenbenutzer auf dem Lough Ree darüber informieren, dass ein Backbordmarker an der Südseite von Inchmore Island derzeit außer Betrieb ist. Die Kapitäne von Schiffen sollten in der Nähe von Inchmore Island mit erhöhter Vorsicht vorgehen. Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Benutzern für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.
Operation of Portora slice gates over Christmas Period
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and waterway users on the Erne System of the following in relation to the operation of Portora slice gates over the Christmas period:
If the slice gates are in operation on the 25th December 2022 there will be no navigation as the Control House For the Lock Gates will not be manned that day.
If the sluice gates are in operation on 26th and 27th of December, there will be a reduced operating window. This will be from 0800 to 1800hrs on both days.

Erne System, Enniskillen, Betrieb der Portora-Schleusentore über die Weihnachtszeit Waterways Ireland möchte Schiffskapitäne und Wasserstraßenbenutzer auf dem Erne System bezüglich des Betriebs der Portora-Schleusentore in der Weihnachtszeit auf Folgendes hinweisen: Wenn die Schleusentore am 25. Dezember 2022 in Betrieb sind, findet keine Schifffahrt statt, da das Kontrollhaus für die Schleusentore an diesem Tag nicht besetzt sein wird. Wenn die Schleusentore am 26. und 27. Dezember in Betrieb sind, wird es ein reduziertes Betriebsfenster geben. Dies wird an beiden Tagen von 0800 bis 1800 Uhr sein. Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Mitarbeit.
Greenway closure, Lock 8 to Lock 9, 03 Jan to 10 Feb 2023
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise users of the Grand Canal Greenway that the greenway section from the 8th Lock to the 9th Lock will be closed from 3rd January to 10th February 2023 to accommodate ESB Cabling and services installation works.
No public access is permitted during these works. A temporary Traffic Management Plan with diversions for pedestrians and cyclists will be in-place.

Grand Canal, Greenway Schließung; Lock 8 bis Lock 9, 03. Januar bis 10. Februar 2023 Waterways Ireland möchte die Besucher des Grand Canal Greenway darauf hinweisen, dass der Abschnitt des Greenway von der 8. bis zur 9. Lock vom 3. Januar bis zum 10. Februar 2023 gesperrt wird, um Arbeiten an der ESB-Verkabelung und der Installation von Dienstleistungen durchzuführen. Während dieser Arbeiten ist kein öffentlicher Zugang gestattet. Restoration of the Four Pots Overflow Structure Until 31 Jan 2023
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise users of the Grand Canal Greenway that the greenway section from Digby Bridge to Sallins will be closed until 31 Jan 2023 in order to facilitate the restoration of the Four Pots Overflow Structure.

The Four Pots is a unique overflow structure on Grand Canal
Grand Canal, Schließung des Greenway, Digby-Brücke nach Sallins Wiederherstellung des Überlaufbauwerks Four Pots Bis 31. Januar 2023 Waterways Ireland möchte die Nutzer des Grand Canal Greenway darauf hinweisen, dass der Abschnitt von Digby Bridge bis Sallins bis zum 31. The Four Pots is a unique overflow structure located alongside the Grand Canal towpath between the Leinster Aqueduct and Digby Bridge. No longer in use, this ingenious overflow system has four circular channels of varying depth that helped reduce the water pressure and volume rate before discharge from the canal back to the River Liffey through a series of channels. All built heritage features throughout our waterways have been documented by Waterways Ireland and can be accessed. Die Four Pots sind ein einzigartiges Überlaufbauwerk, das sich entlang des Treidelpfades des Grand Canal zwischen dem Leinster Aqueduct und der Digby Bridge befindet.
