Shannon–Erne Waterway

Reopening of Navigation

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that the Shannon–Erne Waterway between Lock 16 and Lock 9 will reopen to navigation on Friday, 6 March. In addition, Lock 1 and Lock 2 are now open as water levels have receded to safe operational levels. Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience caused and understanding of all waterway users. Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen darüber informieren, dass der Shannon–Erne-Waterway zwischen Lock 16 und Lock 9 am Freitag, dem 6. März, wieder für die Schifffahrt geöffnet wird.
Darüber hinaus sind Lock 1 und Lock 2 nun geöffnet, da der Wasserstand auf ein sicheres Betriebsniveau gesunken ist.
Waterways Ireland bedauert die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten und bittet alle Nutzer des SEW um Verständnis.
