Closure of Swing Bridge,

| Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels that, due to a mechanical and electrical fault, the Shannon Swing Bridge at Portumna on the Shannon Navigation is closed to navigation (boat) traffic. This closure is effective immediately and will remain in place until Saturday, 7 March 2026, to facilitate essential emergency repair works to the swing bridge. Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience caused and appreciates the cooperation and understanding of all waterway users during this period of essential maintenance works. Sperrung der Swing Bridge in Portumna für den Schiffsverkehr

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass aufgrund eines mechanischen und elektrischen Defekts die Shannon-Drehbrücke in Portumna auf der Shannon Navigation für den Schiffsverkehr gesperrt ist.
Diese Sperrung tritt sofort in Kraft und bleibt bis Samstag, den 7. März 2026, bestehen, um notwendige Notfallreparaturen an der Drehbrücke durchzuführen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert die dadurch entstehenden Unannehmlichkeiten und bedankt sich für die Zusammenarbeit und das Verständnis aller Wasserstraßennutzer während dieser notwendigen Wartungsarbeiten.
