Waterways Ireland Killaloe Water Festival

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the Killaloe Water Festival will take place both upstream and downstream of the Killaloe – Ballina town bridge and also in the vicinity of the Killaloe Canal from 1900hrs on Fri 11th. to 1800hrs on Sun 13th . Sep 2015.
Masters of vessels are requested to note the advice of marshals when passing through the area and to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Lough Derg – Mountshannon

Fisheries Survey

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Inland Fisheries Ireland will conduct a fisheries survey in the general area of Mountshannon between Cribby and Bushy Islands on today Tues 23 and tomorrow Wed 24 June.
The nets will be marked by large yellow buoys and masters are requested to give these a wide berth.

ESB Investigation Works

Waterways Ireland has been advised by ESB Ardnacrusha that they intend carrying out investigation works on the Ardnacrusha Headrace Bridge at Blackwater Bridge and the tailrace bridge at Parteen Bridge from Tues 5th until Fri 22nd May. There will be a pontoon at each bridge to provide access. Masters are requested to proceed with due caution.
