Lough Derg – Scarriff Bay – Middle Ground

Red navigation marker No 1203 off station

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels that Red Navigation marker No 1203 at the North-East side of the Middle Ground, Scarriff Bay, Lough Derg is off station.

Masters of Vessels are urged to proceed with additional caution in the area. The marker will be replaced as soon as possible.

Waterways Ireland thanks vessel owners for their co-operation.

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffsführer darauf hinweisen, dass das rote Seezeichen Nr. 1203 an der nordöstlichen Seite des Middle Ground, Scarriff Bay, Lough Derg, außer Betrieb ist.
Die Kapitäne von Schiffen werden dringend gebeten, in diesem Gebiet mit erhöhter Vorsicht zu fahren. Die Markierung wird so bald wie möglich ersetzt.
Waterways Ireland dankt den Schiffseignern für ihre Kooperation.

Closure 16 March 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that Athlone Lock will be closed to boat traffic on 16th March 2022. The closure is in order to facilitate the relocation the Hydraulic and Electrical services as part of the flood relief works.

Waterways Ireland thanks vessel owners for their co-operation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Grand Canal – Barrow Line – 24th Level

Closure from 21st March to 1st April for essential dredging works

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise that canal navigation from Spencer Lock Rathangan to Macartney Lock Monasterevin will be closed from 21st March to 1st April 2022 inclusive. This closure is to facilitate dredging works on the 24th level of the Barrow Line.
Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Grand Canal – Barrow Line – 24. Level
Sperrung vom 21. März bis 1. April wegen notwendiger Ausbaggerungs-arbeiten
Waterways Ireland möchte darauf hinweisen, dass die Schifffahrt auf dem Kanal zwischen der Spencer Lock Rathangan und der Macartney Lock Monasterevin vom 21. März bis einschließlich 1. April 2022 geschlossen wird. Diese Schließung dient der Durchführung von Baggerarbeiten auf der 24. Ebene der Barrow Line.
Waterways Ireland bittet um Entschuldigung für die entstandenen Unannehm-lichkeiten.

Shannon Erne Waterway

Reopened

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the Shannon Erne Waterway has been reopened wef 11 March 2022. The two fallen trees have been removed from upstream of Old Aghalane Bridge (Ref MN 12 of 2022).

Waterways Ireland teilt den Kapitänen und Bootseigentümern mit, dass der Shannon Erne Waterway ab dem 11. März 2022 wieder geöffnet ist. Die beiden umgestürzten Bäume wurden stromaufwärts der Old Aghalane Bridge entfernt (Ref MN 12 of 2022).

Essential repair works to floating moorings from 23 March 2022

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and water users that essential repair works will be carried out to the floating moorings in Carrick on Shannon from 23rd March 2022. There will be restricted access to the jetties while the repair works are ongoing.

Notwendige Reparaturarbeiten an den schwimmenden Liegeplätzen ab 23. März 2022
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Wassernutzer darauf hinweisen, dass ab dem 23. März 2022 wesentliche Reparaturarbeiten an den schwimmenden Anlegestellen in Carrick on Shannon durchgeführt werden. Der Zugang zu den Anlegestellen wird während der Reparaturarbeiten eingeschränkt sein.
