Lough Derg Killaloe and Ballina

Brian Boru Festival, 5th to 7th July 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the on water elements of the Brian Boru festival will take place on from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th July 2024 in the Killaloe and Ballina areas.
Water activities and times as follows:

- - Viking Ship (40 foot) on the water located at pontoon behind Library (Below pump out station) from 3pm on Friday 5th July to 2pm on Sunday 7th July.
  - Swim from Pier Head to Library on Saturday 6th July from 11pm to 12.30pm. Safety boats and Kayaks supporting this event.
  - Sailing taster sessions on Saturday 6th July from 12pm to 3pm below the bridge working from the Washer Woman Pontoon.
  - Fireworks from between the waters (Car park at the rear of the Cathedral) on Saturday 6th July from 10.30pm to 11.30pm.
  - Masters of vessels are requested to stay out of the river area South of the bridge from 10pm to 11.30pm on Saturday night 6th July 2024 to facilitate the fireworks display. A safety RIB will be on the water.

Shannon Navigation, Lough Derg, Killaloe und Ballina Brian Boru Festival, 5. bis 7. Juli 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass das Brian Boru Festival von Freitag, den 5. bis Sonntag, den 7. Juli 2024 in den Gebieten Killaloe und Ballina stattfinden wird.
Aktivitäten auf dem Wasser und Zeiten wie folgt:

- - Wikingerschiff (40 Fuß) auf dem Wasser am Ponton hinter der Bibliothek (unterhalb der Pumpstation) von 15 Uhr am Freitag, 5. Juli, bis 14 Uhr am Sonntag, 7. Juli.
  - Schwimmen vom Pier Head zur Bibliothek am Samstag, den 6. Juli von 11 Uhr bis 12.30 Uhr.
  - Sicherheitsboote und Kajaks unterstützen diese Veranstaltung.
  - Schnuppersegeln am Samstag, den 6. Juli von 12 bis 15 Uhr unter der Brücke, vom Ponton der Waschfrau aus.
  - Feuerwerk zwischen den Gewässern (Parkplatz hinter der Kathedrale) am Samstag, den 6. Juli von 22.30 bis 23.30 Uhr.
  - Die Kapitäne von Schiffen werden gebeten, sich am Samstagabend, den 6. Juli 2024 von 22.00 bis 23.30 Uhr aus dem Flussbereich südlich der Brücke fernzuhalten, um das Feuerwerk zu ermöglichen. Ein Sicherheits-RIB wird auf dem Wasser sein.

Ordinary Summer Levels in all areas

Cautionary warning

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that water levels in all areas are now at Ordinary Summer Level.
Water levels are expected to continue to lower in the coming weeks.
Masters of vessels, particularly those with deep drafts, are advised to navigate with additional caution and to remain within the navigation at all times.

Shannon Navigation, Normaler Sommerpegel in allen Gebieten
Vorsorgliche Warnung
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass die Wasserstände in allen Gebieten jetzt den gewöhnlichen Sommerpegel erreicht haben.
Es wird erwartet, dass die Wasserstände in den kommenden Wochen weiter sinken werden.
Kapitäne von Schiffen, insbesondere von Schiffen mit großem Tiefgang, werden gebeten, zusätzliche Vorsicht walten zu lassen und sich stets innerhalb der Fahrrinne aufzuhalten.

Lough Ree – Inner Lakes

Athlone Regatta – 15 June 2024

Masters and users of the Shannon Navigation are advised that the Athlone Boat Club Regatta will take place on Sat 15th June from 0800 hrs until 1900 hrs, on the inner lakes.
Masters are requested to proceed with additional caution, at slow speed and with minimum wash when in this area.
Masters are further requested to note any advice given by race marshals when approaching the course.

SHANNON NAVIGATION, Lough Ree – Inner Lakes, Athlone Regatta – 15. Juni 2024
Kapitäne und Benutzer der Shannon Navigation werden darauf hingewiesen, dass die Athlone Boat Club Regatta am Samstag, den 15. Juni von 0800 Uhr bis 1900 Uhr auf den inneren Seen stattfindet.
Die Kapitäne werden gebeten, in diesem Gebiet mit erhöhter Vorsicht, langsamer Geschwindigkeit und möglichst wenig Wasser zu fahren.
Die Kapitäne werden außerdem gebeten, alle Hinweise der Streckenposten zu beachten, wenn sie sich der Strecke nähern.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Grand Canal

IWAI Shannon Harbour Rally, 21 to 23 June 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and users on the Grand Canal that the IWAI Shannon Harbour Rally will take place from Friday the 21st to Sunday the 23rd June 2024.
All vessels entering the Grand Canal should ensure they have a valid permit for the duration of their stay. Visitor Permits may be applied for online at Waterways Ireland | Online Services | Canal Permits by completing the CMP application.
Please ensure that the permit start date reflects your date of entry, as the permit will be valid for 1 month from this date.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their understanding in relation to this matter.

Grand Canal, IWAI Shannon Harbour Rally, 21. bis 23. Juni 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen und Nutzer des Grand Canal darauf hinweisen, dass die IWAI Shannon Harbour Rally von Freitag, den 21. bis Sonntag, den 23. Juni 2024 stattfinden wird.
Alle Schiffe, die in den Grand Canal einfahren, sollten sicherstellen, dass sie eine gültige Genehmigung für die Dauer ihres Aufenthalts haben. Besuchergenehmigungen können online unter Waterways Ireland | Online Services | Canal Permits durch Ausfüllen des CMP-Antrags beantragt werden. Bitte vergewissern Sie sich, dass das Anfangsdatum der Genehmigung mit Ihrem Einreisedatum übereinstimmt, da die Genehmigung ab diesem Datum einen Monat lang gültig ist.

Royal Canal – Mullingar

Royal Canal to St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club
Towpath Closure – 10th June to 1st July 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify users of the Royal Canal feeder in Mullingar that the towpath between Royal Canal and St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club will be closed from the 10th of June to the 1st of July 2024 inclusive. This closure is to facilitate new culvert construction underneath the Royal Canal Supply channel.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Royal Canal – Mullingar, Royal Canal bis St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club
Sperrung des Treidelpfades – 10. Juni bis 1. Juli 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte die Benutzer des Royal Canal Zulaufs in Mullingar darüber informieren, dass der Treidelpfad zwischen dem Royal Canal und dem St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club vom 10. Juni bis einschließlich 1. Juli 2024 gesperrt wird. Diese Sperrung erfolgt, um den Bau eines neuen Durchlasses unter dem Zuführungskanal des Royal Canal zu ermöglichen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert die damit verbundenen Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.
