Monasterevin Lifting Bridge

Power Supply Interruption, Tues 28th March 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and water users that Monasterevin Lifting Bridge will be without power supply on Tuesday 28th March 2023, due to a notified ESB power supply Interruption in Monasterevin.
Waterways Ireland apologises for any inconvenience caused and wishes to thank its customers for their cooperation.

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Wassernutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die Monasterevin Hebebrücke am Dienstag, den 28. März 2023, aufgrund einer gemeldeten ESB-Stromversorgungsunterbrechung in Monasterevin nicht mit Strom versorgt wird.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich für die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten und bedankt sich bei seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation.

Grand Canal, Lock 13 to Lock 14

Greenway development

Lowering of water levels from Lock 13 Ardclough to Lock 14 Devonshire, From Mon 20th Feb 2023 for 6 weeks

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and users of the Grand Canal that construction of the greenway is ongoing as previously notified in Marine Notice 104 of 2022.
Water levels on the Grand canal will be lowered by 400mm between lock 13 Ardclough and lock 14 Devonshire from Monday 20th February 2023 for a period of 6 weeks. The water level is being lowered to accommodate greenway works under Henry bridge, Ponsonby bridge and Devonshire bridge.
Further Marine Notices will be issued in due course to provide updates as the works progress.

Absenkung des Wasserstandes von Schleuse 13 Ardclough bis Schleuse 14 Devonshire,
ab Montag, 20. Februar 2023 für 6 Wochen
Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Benutzer des Grand Canal darauf hinweisen, dass die Bauarbeiten für den Greenway weitergehen, wie bereits in der Marine Notice 104 von 2022 angekündigt.
Der Wasserstand des Grand Canal wird ab Montag, dem 20. Februar 2023, für einen Zeitraum von 6 Wochen zwischen Schleuse 13 Ardclough und Schleuse 14 Devonshire um 400 mm abgesenkt. Der Wasserstand wird abgesenkt, um Arbeiten an der Grünanlage unter der Henry-Brücke, der Ponsonby-Brücke und der Devonshire-Brücke durchzuführen.
Zu gegebener Zeit werden weitere Marine Notices herausgegeben, um über den Fortgang der Arbeiten zu informieren.
Waterways Ireland dankt den Schiffsführern und Kanalbenutzern für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.

Tarmonbarry Bridge and Lock Closure

Monday 27th February 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and waterways users that Tarmonbarry Bridge and Lock will be closed on Monday 27th February 2023, as a result of a planned power outage by ESB Networks.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Wasserstraßenbenutzer darauf hinweisen, dass die Tarmonbarry-Brücke und -Schleuse am Montag, den 27. Februar 2023, aufgrund eines geplanten Stromausfalls von ESB Networks geschlossen wird.
Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Royal Canal, Dublin

North Strand Road to Phibsborough: Lock 1 to Lock 5

Cycleway upgrade works

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify users of the Royal Canal between Lock 1 and Lock 5, North Strand Road to Phibsborough, that cycleway upgrade works have recently commenced on this stretch of the canal. This work will require closures of the canal towpaths in the area over the upcoming period through the Spring and Summer period, in order to facilitate the upgrading works. Diversion signage will be erected on site where applicable. Any effects on planned navigation passage will be advised at time of making contact, but navigation passage will continue to be possible to arrange during works though some additional restrictions may apply.
Waterways Ireland will issue further updates if appropriate, and thanks its users for their understanding in this matter.

Royal Canal, Pike Bridge area,

Kayaking event, Sat 11th Feb 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels and waterways users on the Royal Canal that a kayaking event will take place for a distance of 2.5km either side of Pike Bridge on Sat 11 Feb 2023. Approx 30 kayaks will be involved.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed with additional caution in the vicinity of the kayaking event.
Waterways Ireland thanks its customers for their understanding in this matter.

Royal Canal, Bereich Pike Bridge, Kajakveranstaltung, Sa 11. Februar 2023
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und Wasserstraßenbenutzer auf dem Royal Canal darauf hinweisen, dass am Samstag, den 11. Februar 2023 auf einer Strecke von 2,5 km beiderseits der Pike Bridge eine Kajakveranstaltung stattfinden wird. Es werden ca. 30 Kajaks beteiligt sein.
Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, in der Nähe der Kajakveranstaltung besonders vorsichtig zu fahren.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.
