GRAND CANAL
NAVIGATION RESTRICTION

34th Lock Emergency Repairs

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify owners and Masters of vessels that the Grand Canal will be restricted to navigation at the 34th Lock, East of Shannon Harbour, from 12 March to 15 March for emergency repairs.
Water levels may also be reduced along Level 34 of the Grand Canal in order to facilitate the repairs. Masters are advised to tend their mooring lines accordingly to accommodate any fluctuations in water levels.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience the above will cause to its customers.

34. Schleuse Notfallreparaturen
Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffseigner und Kapitäne darüber informieren, dass der Grand Canal auf die Schifffahrt an der 34. Schleuse östlich des Shannon Harbour vom 12. März bis 15. März für Notreparaturen beschränkt ist.
Der Wasserstand kann auch entlang der Ebene 34 des Grand Canal gesenkt werden, um die Reparaturarbeiten zu erleichtern. Den Kapitänen wird empfohlen, ihre Festmacherleinen entsprechend zu richten, um etwaigen Schwankungen des Wasserspiegels Rechnung zu tragen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert jegliche Unannehmlichkeiten, die die oben genannten Umstände für seine Kunden mit sich bringen.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne und Besitzer von Schiffen darauf hinweisen, dass die Marine Notice 85 von 2017 nun widerrufen wurde und Victoria Lock nun für die Schifffahrt geöffnet ist.

Grand Canal Dock Pump Out Services

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels seeking to avail of a pump out that this service will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between the hours of 09:30 and 14:00.

Other days/times may be arranged when necessary and where resources permit. A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required. Contact should be made with Dock Superintendent at 087 2584713 to arrange this service.

Waterways Ireland thanks its customs for their co-operation in this matter.

Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Eigner von Schiffen, die einen Pump Out Service nutzen wollen, darauf hinweisen, dass dieser Service montags, dienstags, donnerstags und samstags zwischen 09:30 und 14:00 Uhr verfügbar ist.
Andere Tage/Zeiten können vereinbart werden, wenn es notwendig ist und die Ressourcen es erlauben. Eine Vorankündigung von mindestens 24 Stunden ist erforderlich. Wenden Sie sich bitte an den Dock Superintendent unter 087 2584713, um diesen Service zu arrangieren.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Mitarbeitern für die Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit.

Jamestown Canal Tree Trimming

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that tree trimming will take place on the Jamestown Canal up until the end of February 2018.
Masters of vessels should proceed with caution and comply with guidance given by Waterways Ireland staff.
Waterways Ireland apologies to their customers for any inconvenience caused.

Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen, dass bis Ende Februar 2018 auf dem Jamestown Canal Baumpflegemaßnahmen durchgeführt werden.
Die Kapitäne von Schiffen sollten mit Vorsicht vorgehen und die Anweisungen der Mitarbeiter von Waterways Ireland befolgen.
Waterways Ireland entschuldigt sich bei seinen Gästen und Kunden für die Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen.

Grand Canal Leistner Aqueduct

NAVIGATION CLOSURE

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify owners and Masters of vessels that the Grand Canal will be closed to navigation at the Leinster Aqueduct, West of Sallins, from mid February to mid March to facilitate bank strengthening.

Water levels will also be reduced along all of Level 15 on the Grand Canal, including in Sallins. Masters are advised to tend their mooring lines accordingly to accommodate any fluctuations in water levels.

Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience the above will cause to its customers.

LEINSTER AQUEDUCT – NAVIGATIONSSCHLIEßUNG

Waterways Ireland möchte Schiffseigner und Kapitänen von Schiffen darüber informieren, dass der Canal Grande von Mitte Februar bis Mitte März für die Schifffahrt im Leinster Aquädukt, westlich von Sallins, gesperrt wird, um die Stärkung der Ufer zu ermöglichen.
Die Wasserstände werden auch entlang der gesamten Stufe 15 des Canal Grande, einschließlich in Sallins, gesenkt. Den Kapitänen wird empfohlen, ihre Festmacherleinen entsprechend zu richten, um etwaigen Schwankungen des Wasserspiegels Rechnung zu tragen.
