Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the IWAI Lough Derg Rally will take place from Sat 7th to Sun 15th Jul 2018 and will visit the following locations listed below:
Garrykennedy – 7th & 8th July
Terryglass -9th & 10th July
Dromineer – 11th & 12th July
Killaloe -13th & 15th July
It is anticipated that up to 80 vessels will participate in this rally.

Es wird erwartet, dass bis zu 80 Schiffe an dieser Rallye teilnehmen werden. Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Nutzern für die Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that:
Non permitted vessels, Article 6(8)
Non attended and apparently abandoned vessels, Article 6(8)
Doubled moored and causing obstruction (sunk) , Article 27 (3)
Vessels deemed to be/likely to cause a hazard to navigation, Article 33(3), may be removed from the Grand canal at Shannon Harbour and environs within two weeks of this notice. Removed vessels may then be subsequently disposed of in accordance with Article 34(2).
Classes of vessels mentioned above will be stickered (given suitable access) and then removed from the navigation, as operationally convenient, in order to clear berths and to clear the navigation.

ABTRANSPORT DER SCHIFFE vom Grand Canal – Shannon-Hafen Kanalgesetz 1986 (Bye-Laws) 1988
Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigner darauf hinweisen:
Nicht zugelassene Schiffe, Artikel 6 Absatz 8
Nicht besichtigte und scheinbar verlassene Schiffe, Artikel 6 Absatz 8
Doppelte Verankerung und Behinderung (Versenkung), Artikel 27 (3)
Schiffe, von denen angenommen wird, dass sie eine Gefahr für die Schifffahrt darstellen, Artikel 33 Absatz 3, kann innerhalb von zwei Wochen nach dieser Mitteilung aus dem Grand Canal in Shannon Harbour und Umgebung entfernt werden. Die entfernten Schiffe können anschließend gemäß Artikel 34 Absatz 2 beseitigt werden.
Die oben genannten Schiffsklassen werden mit einem Aufkleber versehen (geeigneter Zugang) und dann aus der Navigation entfernt, um die Liegeplätze zu räumen und die Navigation zu erleichtern.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners that the above festival will take place on Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July 2018.
An IWAI motor cruiser flotilla sail past will take place at 1200hrs on Sat 30th June 2018 between West Quay, lock and Railway Bridge.
Various water based activities will take place between the Railway Bridge and the Town Bridge on Sun 13th from 1000hrs until 1900hrs.
Masters are requested to take heed of advice and directions from safety craft monitoring the event and to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash while passing through the area as low freeboard craft will be participating in it and swimmers may be in the water.

Athlone River Festival Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigentümer darauf hinweisen, dass das Festival am Samstag, den 30. Juni und Sonntag, den 1. Juli 2018 stattfinden wird. Eine IWAI Motorkreuzer-Flottille wird um 1200 Uhr am 30. Juni 2018 zwischen West Quay, Schleuse und Railway Bridge vorbeifahren. Zwischen der Eisenbahnbrücke und der Stadtbrücke am 13. September von 1000 Uhr bis 1900 Uhr finden verschiedene Aktivitäten auf dem Wasser statt. Die Kapitäne werden gebeten, den Rat und die Anweisungen der Sicherheitsfahrzeuge zu befolgen, die die Veranstaltung überwachen, und mit geringer Geschwindigkeit und minimalem Wellengang durch das Gebiet zu fahren, da an ihr niedrige Freibordboote teilnehmen und Schwimmer im Wasser sein können.
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the swim element of the above event will take place at Athlone on Sat 30 June 2018 between 1400 hrs and 1700hrs.
The navigation at Athlone will be closed between 1400 and 1700hrs.
Masters are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when approaching this section of the navigation and heed any instructions issued by the event marshals.

triAthlone Waterways Ireland möchte Kapitäne und Schiffseigentümer darauf hinweisen, dass das Schwimmelement der oben genannten Veranstaltung am 30. Juni 2018 zwischen 14.00 und 17.00 Uhr in Athlone stattfinden wird. Die Schifffahrt in Athlone ist zwischen 14.00 und 17.00 Uhr geschlossen. Die Kapitäne werden gebeten, bei der Annäherung an diesen Abschnitt der Navigation mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit und minimalem Waschgang vorzugehen und die Anweisungen der Streckenposten zu befolgen. Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für die Zusammenarbeit in dieser Angelegenheit.

Masters of vessels, particularly those with deep drafts, are advised to navigate with additional caution and to remain within the navigation at all times.

Kapitänen von Schiffen, insbesondere solchen mit starkem Tiefgang, wird empfohlen, mit zusätzlicher Vorsicht zu navigieren und stets innerhalb der Navigation zu bleiben.
