BARROW LINE CLOSURE

Culvert Collapse between Locks 22 (Glenaree Bridge) and 23 (Spencer Bridge)

Marine Notice No. 85 of 2016 refers. Extensive repairs are required as a result of the collapsed culvert to restore this section of the canal to full operational use.
It is anticipated that this work will be protracted. A further Marine Notice will issue when a timescale for repairs becomes clearer.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause its customers.

Shannon-Erne Waterway

Navigation between Lough Scur

and Lock 9, Kilclare

Navigation Closed for Emergency Repairs

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that the navigation between Lough Scur and Lock 9, Kilclare on the Shannon-Erne Waterway is closed to boat traffic from today, Tuesday 2nd August 2016 for emergency repair works.
A Marine Notice will be issued when the navigation is reopened.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Shannon-Erne Waterway

Ballinamore, Lock 5, Ardrum,

Intended Closure for Works on Thurs 4 Aug

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Lock 5, Ardrum, Ballinamore on the Shannon-Erne Waterway will be closed to boat traffic on Thursday 4th August 2016 for unscheduled repair works.
The lock will be closed from 09:00 and will remain closed until repair works are completed. It is anticipated that works will be completed and the lock reopened in the afternoon.

Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Shannon Navigation

Limerick City to Parteen Weir

Further to Marine Notices Nos. 16 and 84 of 2016. Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all users of the Shannon Navigation that the remedial work to effect repairs to the infrastructure has been delayed and the navigation will not open this week as anticipated.

A further Marine Notice will issue when it becomes apparent that repairs have been finalised and Sarsfield Lock is fully operational.

Waterways Ireland thanks it customers for their patience in this matter.
