Dragon Boat Regatta, 11 June 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of vessels and users of the Barrow Navigation that the Barrow Dragon Boat Regatta will take place at Carlow on 11 June 2023 from 0800hrs to 1800hrs.
The event races will start approximately 250m upstream of Jimmy Murnane bridge and finish at theWaterways Ireland pontoons adjacent to Carlow Town Park. Safety boats will be present on the water for the duration of the event.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed with additional caution in the area.

Barrow Navigation, Carlow, Drachenbootregatta, 11. Juni 2023
Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer, und Nutzer der Barrow Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass die Barrow Dragon Boat Regatta am 11. Juni 2023 von 08.00 bis 18.00 Uhr in Carlow stattfinden wird.
Die Regatta beginnt ca. 250 m flussaufwärts der Jimmy Murnane Brücke und endet an den Waterways Ireland Pontons neben dem Carlow Town Park.
Während der gesamten Dauer der Veranstaltung werden Sicherheitsboote auf dem Wasser anwesend sein.
Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, in diesem Gebiet mit besonderer Vorsicht vorzugehen.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of vessels and users of the Barrow Navigation that the Adult Recreational Rowing Regatta will take place in Graiguenamanagh on Saturday 20th May 2023 from 1100hrs – 1800hrs.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed with additional caution in the area.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Benutzer der Barrow Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass am Samstag, den 20. Mai 2023 von 1100 bis 1800 Uhr in Graiguenamanagh eine Ruderregatta für Erwachsene stattfinden wird.
Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, in diesem Gebiet mit besonderer Vorsicht vorzugehen.

Jetty closed until further notice

Waterways Ireland wishes to inform Masters of Vessels and waterways users on the Erne System that Crom jetty is closed until further notice due to fire damage being sustained at the jetty. A vessel is sunken adjacent to the jetty.

Upper Lough Erne, Crom, Anlegestelle bis auf Weiteres geschlossen
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und Wasserstraßenbenutzer auf dem Erne System darüber informieren, dass die Crom Anlegestelle aufgrund eines Brandschadens an der Anlegestelle bis auf weiteres geschlossen ist. Ein Schiff ist neben der Anlegestelle gesunken.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Ergänzung zur Meldung von ITV News:
Nach einem Bootsbrand in Co Fermanagh ist eine Person zur Behandlung ins Krankenhaus gebracht worden.
Das Feuer wurde den Rettungsdiensten am Sonntagnachmittag um 12.50 Uhr in Newtownbutler gemeldet.
Das Boot, das an einem Steg im Crom Castle Estate lag, soll inzwischen gesunken sein. Die Ursache des Brandes ist noch unbekannt.
Es befanden sich keine weiteren Passagiere an Bord des Bootes.

Tarmonbarry to Ballyleague

Navigation Closure

The Great River Swim 0900hrs to 1400hrs on Sat 20 May 2023

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters of Vessels and users of the Shannon Navigation that The Great River Swim will take place between Tarmonbarry and Ballyleague on Saturday 20 May 2023.
Approx 800 swimmers will participate in the swim event. The Shannon Navigation between Tarmonbarry lock and Ballyleague bridge will be closed from 0900hrs to 1400hrs on Saturday 20th May 2023. Tarmonbarry lock and Clondara canal lock will be closed from 0900hrs to 1400hrs. Vessels will be prohibited from proceeding upstream from Ballyleague bridge between 0900hrs to 1400hrs.
A series of large bright green and red buoys (branded with Gaelforce) will be positioned along the swim route on the evening of Friday 19th May 2023 and will removed after the swim on Saturday 20th May 2023.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Schiffsführer und Benutzer der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass am Samstag, den 20. Mai 2023 zwischen Tarmonbarry und Ballyleague das Great River Swim stattfinden wird. Etwa 800 Schwimmer werden an der Veranstaltung teilnehmen.
Die Shannon Navigation zwischen der Tarmonbarry-Schleuse und der Ballyleague-Brücke wird am Samstag, den 20. Mai 2023, von 9.00 bis 14.00 Uhr gesperrt. Die Schleuse von Tarmonbarry und die Schleuse des Clondara-Kanals werden von 9.00 bis 14.00 Uhr geschlossen. Die stromaufwärts gerichtete Fahrt von der Ballyleague-Brücke ist zwischen 0900 und 1400 Uhr verboten.
Entlang der Schwimmstrecke werden am Freitag, den 19. Mai 2023, abends eine Reihe großer,hellgrüner und roter Bojen (mit der Aufschrift Gaelforce) aufgestellt und nach dem Schwimmen am Samstag, den 20. Mai 2023, wieder entfernt.
