Erne Navigation – Upper Lough
at Galloon and Knockninny
Temporary Closure of Public Jetties
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise that the public mooring jetties at Galloon and Knockninny on Upper Lough Erne are closed for improvement works until the end of April 2015.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience to its customers.

Shannon Navigation
North Shannon – Battlebridge
Fallen Tree
Waterways Ireland has been informed that a tree has fallen into the navigation approximately 500m to 600m south of Battlebridge lock on the eastern bank and is presently blocking about half of the width of the navigation.
Masters are requested to approach this section of navigation with due caution.

SALLINS
Underwater Obstruction
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise Masters and owners of vessels that an underwater obstruction in the Grand Canal at Sallins adjacent to the newly constructed extended mooring berths West of Sallin’s Bridge has been removed.
Marine Notice No 2 of 2015 is now withdrawn.

Victoria Lock – Meelick
Temporary Closure for Power Outage
Waterways Ireland has been informed by the ESB that there will be a power outage at Victoria Lock on:
Sat 14 Feb from 1000hrs to 1400hrs
Tue17 Feb from 1000hrs to 1600hrs
The lock will not be operational during these times on the respective dates.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause its customers.

MARINE NOTICE, No. 3 of 2015
Erne Navigation
Enniskillen – Portora
Head of River Rowing Race – Sat 28th. Feb 2015
Masters and owners are advised that the Portora Boat Club “Head of River” race will take place on Sat 28th. Feb 2015 from 09.00 hrs until 17.00hrs, the course will stretch from Inishkeen downstream to finish at the Portora Boat House, Enniskillen.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed at slow speed and with minimum wash when passing this stretch of the navigation and to heed any advice or instructions issued by the event officials.
