Royal Canal – Mullingar

Royal Canal to St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club
Towpath Closure – 10th June to 1st July 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify users of the Royal Canal feeder in Mullingar that the towpath between Royal Canal and St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club will be closed from the 10th of June to the 1st of July 2024 inclusive. This closure is to facilitate new culvert construction underneath the Royal Canal Supply channel.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Sperrung des Treidelpfades – 10. Juni bis 1. Juli 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte die Benutzer des Royal Canal Zulaufs in Mullingar darüber informieren, dass der Treidelpfad zwischen dem Royal Canal und dem St Oliver Plunkett GAA Club vom 10. Juni bis einschließlich 1. Juli 2024 gesperrt wird. Diese Sperrung erfolgt, um den Bau eines neuen Durchlasses unter dem Zuführungskanal des Royal Canal zu ermöglichen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert die damit verbundenen Unannehmlichkeiten und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Shannon Navigation

Carrick on Shannon – Bridge Works

7th and 10th June 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to notify masters of vessels and users on the Shannon Navigation that Jons Civil Engineering will be carrying out works on Carrick on Shannon bridge, on Friday the 7th and Monday the 10th June 2024.
Navigation will be restricted to one arch of the bridge and masters of vessels should proceed with additional caution in the area.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their co-operation in relation to this matter.

Shannon- Navigation, Carrick on Shannon – Brückenarbeiten, 7. und 10. Juni 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und Nutzer der Shannon Navigation darauf hinweisen, dass Jons Civil Engineering am Freitag, den 7. und Montag, den 10. Juni 2024 Arbeiten an der Carrick on Shannon Brücke durchführen wird.
Die Schifffahrt wird auf einen Bogen der Brücke beschränkt sein, und die Kapitäne von Schiffen sollten in diesem Bereich mit erhöhter Vorsicht vorgehen.
Waterways Ireland bedauert jegliche Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Royal Canal

Kilcock Harbour

Canoe Polo Event – 15th and 16th June 2024

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and waterways users of the Royal Canal that a canoe polo event will be taking place in Kilcock Harbour on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th June 2024.

In order to facilitate the event, navigation in this area will be very restricted from 0900hrs on Saturday 15th June to 1900hrs on Sunday 16th June 2024. Vessels should move away from any of the moorings in the harbour area for the duration of the event and will only be able to navigate past the event if allowed to proceed by the event organisers between event activities through a prior arrangement.

Masters of vessels are therefore requested to proceed with additional caution in the vicinity of the event and to obey any instructions given by event stewards.

Royal Canal, Kilcock Harbour, Kanu-Polo-Veranstaltung – 15. und 16. Juni 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffsführer und Wasserstraßenbenutzer des Royal Canal darauf hinweisen, dass am Samstag, den 15. und Sonntag, den 16. Juni 2024 im Kilcock Harbour eine Kanupolo-Veranstaltung stattfinden wird.
Um die Veranstaltung zu ermöglichen, wird die Schifffahrt in diesem Gebiet von Samstag, den 15. Juni um 9.00 Uhr bis Sonntag, den 16. Juni 2024 um 19.00 Uhr stark eingeschränkt sein. Die Schiffe sollten sich für die Dauer der Veranstaltung von allen Liegeplätzen im Hafengebiet entfernen und können nur dann an der Veranstaltung vorbeifahren, wenn die Organisatoren die Weiterfahrt zwischen den Veranstaltungsaktivitäten nach vorheriger Absprache erlauben.
Die Schiffskapitäne werden daher gebeten, in der Nähe der Veranstaltung zusätzliche Vorsicht walten zu lassen und den Anweisungen der Veranstaltungsleiter Folge zu leisten.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Gästen für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels using the Grand Canal that the 16th Lock Digby Bridge will be closed to navigation on Tuesday 28th May 2024 for facilitate repairs to the lock gate swing beam.

Reparatur des Schwingtors der Schleuse – 28. Mai 2024
Waterways Ireland möchte alle Kapitäne von Schiffen, die den Grand Canal befahren, darauf hinweisen, dass die 16. Schleuse Digby Bridge am Dienstag, den 28. Mai 2024, für die Schifffahrt gesperrt wird, um Reparaturen am Schwingträger des Schleusentors durchzuführen.
