Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and waterways users that Tarmonbarry Bridge and Lock will be closed on Monday 27th February 2023, as a result of a planned power outage by ESB Networks.

Februar 2023, aufgrund eines geplanten Stromausfalls von ESB Networks geschlossen wird. Waterways Ireland bedauert alle Unannehmlichkeiten, die dadurch entstehen können, und dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.
North Strand Road to Phibsborough: Lock 1 to Lock 5
Cycleway upgrade works
Waterways Ireland wishes to notify users of the Royal Canal between Lock 1 and Lock 5, North Strand Road to Phibsborough, that cycleway upgrade works have recently commenced on this stretch of the canal. This work will require closures of the canal towpaths in the area over the upcoming period through the Spring and Summer period, in order to facilitate the upgrading works. Diversion signage will be erected on site where applicable. Any effects on planned navigation passage will be advised at time of making contact, but navigation passage will continue to be possible to arrange during works though some additional restrictions may apply.
Waterways Ireland will issue further updates if appropriate, and thanks its users for their understanding in this matter.

Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels and waterways users on the Royal Canal that a kayaking event will take place for a distance of 2.5km either side of Pike Bridge on Sat 11 Feb 2023. Approx 30 kayaks will be involved.
Masters of vessels are requested to proceed with additional caution in the vicinity of the kayaking event.

Royal Canal, Bereich Pike Bridge, Kajakveranstaltung, Sa 11. Februar 2023 Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und Wasserstraßenbenutzer auf dem Royal Canal darauf hinweisen, dass am Samstag, den 11. Februar 2023 auf einer Strecke von 2,5 km beiderseits der Pike Bridge eine Kajakveranstaltung stattfinden wird. Es werden ca. 30 Kajaks beteiligt sein. Die Kapitäne der Schiffe werden gebeten, in der Nähe der Kajakveranstaltung besonders vorsichtig zu fahren. Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.

The lock will re-open to navigation on Friday 03 March 2023.

Shannon Navigation, Clarendon Lock Einbau von Ersatzschleusentoren; Wiedereröffnung am Freitag, den 03. März 2023 Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen und die Nutzer der Wasserstraße darüber informieren, dass der Austausch der stromaufwärts gelegenen Schleusentore an der Clarendon Lock im Gange ist. Die Schleuse wird am Freitag, den 03. März 2023, wieder für den Schiffsverkehr geöffnet. Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Kunden für ihre Kooperation in dieser Angelegenheit.
New Bridge Construction – Stage 3 Bridge Deck Installation
Navigation & Trackway Restrictions,, 1st February 2023 to 31st March 2023
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all masters of vessels and waterways users that the construction of the Athy Distributer Road Bridge is underway and has progressed to Stage 3, bridge deck installation. The new Road Bridge is being built approx. 30 metres downstream of the currently disused Wolfhill Railway Bridge.
Navigation & Pedestrian Management measures will enable the Navigation Channel and Trackway in this area will remain open to users.

that navigation is restricted to the navigation channel only for all vessels and water users, including canoes, pwcs etc.
to follow the safety and directional signage

Barrow Navigation, Athy, Neubau einer Brücke – Phase 3: Einbau des Brückendecks Beschränkungen für Schifffahrt und Fahrwege, 1. Februar 2023 bis 31. März 2023 Waterways Ireland möchte alle Schiffskapitäne und Wasserstraßennutzer darüber informieren, dass der Bau der Athy Distributer Road Bridge im Gange ist und die Phase 3, der Einbau des Brückendecks, erreicht wurde. Die neue Straßenbrücke wird ca. 30 Meter flussabwärts der derzeit stillgelegten Wolfhill Railway Bridge gebaut. Dank der Maßnahmen zum Schifffahrts- und Fußgängermanagement werden der Schifffahrtskanal und der Fahrweg in diesem Bereich für die Nutzer offen bleiben. Diagramm Beschreibung automatisch generiert Kapitäne von Schiffen werden darauf hingewiesen:
dass die Schifffahrt für alle Schiffe und Wassernutzer, einschließlich Kanus, Schlauchboote usw., nur auf die Fahrrinne beschränkt ist
die Sicherheits- und Hinweisschilder zu beachten
die Anweisungen des Sicherheitspersonals zu befolgen, das sich während der Kranarbeiten in der Fahrrinne aufhält.
