Navigation Restriction – Lock 10 Royal Canal
Waterways Ireland would like to advise Masters of Craft wishing to make passage on the Royal Canal in Dublin that a navigation restriction is to be applied to use of Lock 10 for boat passage.
The maximum beam of craft that will be permitted to pass through this lock will now be restricted to 3.5m.
This restriction is necessary due to structural checks recently undertaken on the lock which identified a need for limiting the size of craft that could pass through the lock.

Waterways Ireland möchte die Kapitäne von Schiffen, die den Royal Canal in Dublin befahren möchten, darauf hinweisen, dass die Benutzung von Lock 10 für die Durchfahrt von Schiffen eingeschränkt wird.
Die maximale Breite von Schiffen, die diese Schleuse passieren dürfen, wird nun auf 3,5 m beschränkt.
Diese Beschränkung ist notwendig, weil bei kürzlich durchgeführten baulichen Kontrollen der Schleuse festgestellt wurde, dass die Größe der Boote, die die Schleuse passieren können, begrenzt werden muss.
Waterways Ireland dankt seinen Usern für ihr Verständnis in dieser Angelegenheit.
