Intended Lock Closure for Works
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters and owners of vessels that Lock 14 Drumduff will be closed to boat traffic from Monday 24th November 2014. It is anticipated that the lock will remain closed until March 2015, weather permitting, for repairs to the lock gates, collars and associated infrastructure.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause and thanks its customers for their cooperation in this matter.

Ballinamore-Navigation Restriction
Run – Kayak Event
Sun 20th April 2014
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters and Users of the Shannon – Erne Waterway that there will be a Run – Kayak Event in the vicinity of Ballinamore on Sun 20th Apr. 2014.
The Kayak Element of the Event will take place between 1300 hrs. and 1500 hrs. approx during which time the Navigation will be restricted in use.
Masters of Vessels should heed Steward’s Instructions.

MARINE NOTICE, No 129 of 2013
SHANNON –ERNE WATERWAY
LOCK 6 BALLINAMORE CLOSURE
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise all Masters of vessels and users of the waterways that the Shannon – Erne Waterway will be closed to navigation at Lock 6 Ballinamore from 14th November 2013 until early April 2014 to facilitate the necessary repairs to lock gates. A section of the canal bank walkway adjacent to Lock 6 Ballinamore will also be closed for the durations of the works.
Waterways Ireland regrets any inconvenience that this may cause its customers.
