Underwater Inspection of Weirs
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that underwater inspection of weirs shall commence Tuesday 19th March and will be completed on Wednesday 3rd April.
Masters approaching weirs should be prepared to stop short and await instructions from the dive safety officer before proceeding.

UNDERWATER INSPECTION OF LOCK CHAMBERS AND WEIRS
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels that the above operation is presently underway and will be completed on Fri1 Mar.
Masters approaching locks should be prepared to stop short and await instructions from the dive safety officer before proceeding.

Major Emergency Exercise
Waterways Ireland wishes to advise masters of vessels and the public that the Emergency Services will conduct major water based exercise centred on Upper Lough Erne and the Shannon –Erne Waterway on Sat 16 Feb 2013. The timings and locations for the exercises are as follows:
Upper Lough Erne:
from 1000hrs until 2200hrs.
Event Rescue Areas:
Geaglum, Derryadd, Kilmore, Corradillar and Naan Island
Shannon Erne Waterway:
at 1400 hrs and at 1800hrs.
Event Area: Ballyconnell
